Lovely, charming spot with character and friendly, professional staff. Good value, too. It shows that it has some history - not for those looking for a modern aesthetic and fixtures, Everything was functional and clean.

This was my 6th stay, love the convenience of the location. Wonderful to have a restaurant and bar on site.

King room was clean and bed comfortable. However the bathroom arrangement was dated and very small. The bathroom sink with mirror stands alone in a space not much wider than a phone booth. Thus “counter space” very limited. For a couple this was a challenge and less than comfortable. We stayed in room 230 which is accessed via an open courtyard and requires climbing THREE separate flights of stairs. The configuration is such that you simply can NOT utilize a luggage cart beyond the first set of stairs. Staff assist was forthcoming. Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful throughout stay. This is not an inexpensive property. In the competitive Santa Fe hotel market our experience fell short of value for dollars spent.

Location is great, room was nice Overall the property needs a facelift, stairs and wood features need painting and better overall maintenance.

We had a wonderful anniversary stay at Hotel Chimayo. It was quaint and cute. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms were very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was in a great location with underground parking that was very convenient. The property was pretty but I can’t say the same for the room. It was clean but dark and dated. There were few outlets and the lamps gave off very little light. If you are located facing the courtyard then you can’t open your curtains because of people walking by in that outside walkway. It felt a little like a motel. But for one night it was convenient and clean and a lot less expensive than many others.

This hotel has an excellent location. We arrived, parked the car, and did not use the car again until we left. There is a bar with pizza connected to the lobby and a lovely restaurant upstairs. So, even though the hotel doesn’t have their own bar or restaurant, they are very close by and they don’t require you to even go outside to access them. Santa Fe is a lovely city and the downtown area is very walkable from the motel. This is a great place to stay. Enjoy!

Exceptional

Good location. Lots of space. Comfortable bed. Closet and drawers were adequate Not enough light switches. Had to walk to front door through the front room to reach the switch. Not enough lights. Did not receive promised refund since we didn't need to park

Location. Room size. Comfort. Decent bar. Convenient parking. Nice front porch. Reasonable room charge. No breakfast except mediocre danish. Dated furnishings. No lobby.
-
Nice workers greet me nicely every morning and evening.i would stay there every time

Our stay was perfect. Very clean, quiet and it was a beautiful place to relax after walking around The Plaza. It had everything we needed. They don't have a pool but they let you use two other hotel's pools near by. We will be staying here again.

We liked the location, the staff and being able to sit on the front porch. We could not take a shower one morning due to hot water handle being broke. The maintenance came fast to fix. But the knob broke again. Nice hotel with charm but needs overall tlc maintenance.

There was much to like! Loved the location - steps away from the Plaza - and the convenient parking just behind the hotel. The front desk staff were fantastic - capable, efficient, and friendly - particularly on the busiest weekend of the year. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the generous pillow options offered. We noticed no sound from neighbors, which was miraculous given its sold-out status. We were fine with these details - for two quick nights, and the more reasonable pricing for a hotel on the Plaza, the trade-offs were worth it. Our room was fairly dated. We were met with approx 25 stairs as soon as we opened our door so we were essentially on the 2nd floor. The A/C was borderline adequate - better than outside, but not quite refreshing. The window was not functional. The bathroom was tiny, and one has to be pretty much on top of the toilet in order to make it far enough into the room to close the door to be able to enter the shower. Still, the property was priced fairly compared to more luxurious properties on Indian Market weekend, and doable for a short stay.

Property is in a great location, courtyard is very nice and quick access to the plaza and shops. Santa Fe is a really nice town and the hotel essentially located. Staff were pleasant to deal with. Rooms were a little dated, but overall stay was great.
-
Love the property and location but probably won’t stay again because of stairs. No elevator.
-
Oaky and ok and ok and the people who were there were nicer than the place
-
Easy walking to Plaza, restaurants, museums and shopping. Will stay again.
