Hotel Riu Palace Santa Maria - All Inclusive

The fact they ask for me and my wife 40 euros per hour for a late check out, and do not realize that i arrived 9 hours after my check in. The Fact i said i was a Diplomat, i will notify our local turism department for this kind of politic with no human side or understanding

The number of hamburgers I chose to eat…! There is nothing bad here just understand what you’re booking—a place to eat and drink a lot and hang out.

Staff fantastic Pool areas grounds Speciality restaurants only had later times despite booking the day we arrived- we had tried to book before but could not because we did not have a room number (despite checking in online). We managed to get in at the later time on 3 of the 4 speciality restaurants/ that then resulted us missing 3 nights of entertainment. We could not get into the 4th one.

Wow and wow. The staff amazing and plenty activities for a solo traveler. I really enjoyed my stay as everyone was super helpful…! You have to look for the services by yourself…..

Nice hotel, but super big, walking to the beach takes 15 minutes. Lots of food varieties.

Water slides are closed on sundays...always.. no reason. we chose hotel for slides arriving saturday afternoon.... all other facilities are open, shops etc. Yet the close the fun part. I never got to try a slide. No one told us Sunday closure or that they stop at 5pm daily. I arrived as single mum with 2 sons.... there's no fun to have in any of the other pools as they no deep. Mosquitos... never experienced so many, ever.. especially as it's sooo windy all the time. Lanzarote has no mosquitos because of wind, noticeably less windy than Sal. Next to hotel is water logged ground which probably full of mosquito eggs readying to feast. They could bring in bats who eat upto 1000 mosquitos in the 1st hour of sun set... import some bats and drain the water in the land next door. Simple solutions... they are monster monsquitos able to fly in strong winds. We are covered in bites.

The hotel is beautiful and most of the staff about 95% of them were great. Lovely rooms, food, hotel is beautiful. Great amenities , all inclusive is great. Special shout out to Daniella. We decided to extent our stay and she went above and beyond to sort this out. She is really amazing. I made it clear that it was my birthday trip, there was nothing said or done to make it special. No one wished me a happy birthday and only when we extended out stay did one of the girls say “ oh it was your birthday on the 24th? Happy birthday.” They promised to send a bottle of bubbly to my room and yet nothing came. Secondly their cleaners start very early and make a lot of noise whilst we the customers are sleeping. You can hear them shouting and some days they are playing their music on speakers and their phones and you are forced to wake up! You are on vacation to have a lay in and rest not to be woken up but loud group conversations. Thirdly we decided to extend our stay and the lovely Daniella sorted it out for us. On the day to do so, a different girl ( a trainee) now told us the hotel was fully booked and went to ask her superior and he came to the desk, did not acknowledge us or greet us ( he is the only staff member that was cold and unfriendly ) and went on the computer and quickly said the hotel is fully booked. We asked for Daniella and she came and sorted everything out , and just like that the room that was not available was now available. Having stayed in Rui Palace Maldives and Rui Palace Mauritius I can say definitely the level is clearly different but not to fault the other amazing stuff. As a travel blogger, I have a great job to do an honest review vey soon.

All people that inky drink and eat whole day. Big cafetwrias without atmosphere. Never again
