Great location, close to everything!

Clean room and excellent location

Older motel needs some updating. Didn’t see a pool or anything, but the location is great! The parking spaces are very small and I had to pull within a foot of the building so the back of my rental car wouldn’t block the drive. Another car parked next to me with about 8 in between us. It took some maneuvering and about 15 min to get out! The charge for parking is excessive, but we were only there one night.

It’s called a hotel but it’s really a 2 story motel.

Close to the beach and the rooms were newly renovated. I thought there was coffee service in the room but there was not. Only in the office which was closed in the morning. No meals available. Office lady was friendly. Parking was extremely limited and very expensive, only 1 handicap spot off the premises. Price was reasonable for high season at the beach.

Location for Santa Monica pier was great Parking, as in a car (not ours) was parked right in front of our accommodation and impeded our entry

Very conveniently located to the pier and in the middle of main area. No lift. We had to carry our heavy suitcases up and down the stairs ourselves

The location is fantastic and the room was perfect a one night stay for our family of 5. Parking, although at an additional (we were aware of this) was super convenient and outside our door. Ideal location for Santa Monica pier. Staff were great. There are curtains but the rooms at the back on the ground floor are slightly exposed / viewable from outside. We requested a ground floor however.

The location can’t be beat! It was such a quaint retro California vibe. My family loved it. Would definitely stay here again! Nothing! Parking was tight but we were right in front of our room.

Very close to Pier and walking distance for food. Beds a bit hard. Noisy at night.

We actually didn't get to stay here for our schedules stay due to Expedia not booking this correctly for us. So when we arrived they did not have a room for my family, even though I booked months out. The staff here was nothing but amazing. Sherry from the front office was on the phone with multiple people trying to resolve this for us. We are sad we didn't stay because she was supportive of our needs and tried so hard to find a place to stay, even though everything was booked out. If they treat people who don't even stay there with respect like this, I'd recommend staying here. Expedia is another answer and hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else because it is not fun

We had to get this hotel last minute and I am a review reader and only had a few days to review and book. I am so glad I booked Ocean Lodge. The staff was super friendly from the front desk person to the cleaning person to the maintenance/landscape person. They said hello every time you walked by them. Check-in was super easy and everything was explained clearly. They had coffee and tea every day and snacks such as cookies but the office had to be open but that wasn’t a problem because I drink coffee in the morning. They also had an ice machine and a water machine outside of the office. Their place is secure with locking gates at every entrance to floors so we felt safe. The rooms were great!! The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and great pressure and they freshened up the room and provided clean towels and wash cloths every day! The parking was small and $38.99 a day, but we used the parking lot next door and the parking meters. We did have a hard time finding parking some nights because of the restaurant next door but it’s public parking and not their fault. The location is amazing!! A block and half from the pier and the beach and the walk to the beach was easy and there was no walking traffic slowing us down to the water!! I one thousand percent recommend Ocean Lodge for your stay in Santa Monica!
