Enjoy Santander - Hostel

Very good

The lady managing the hostel is so lovely and helpful! Besides the place is super clean, there is lots of space in the rooms, the common areas and the showers. It is a short few minutes walk away from the main street and the centre of Santander. Thank you for the nice time!

Very convenient location close to restaurants bars and shops. Very clean, light and airy with comfortable communal spaces to relax and chat to other guests. Nice little kitchen area with a big fridge and a good coffee machine (€1.20). Very helpful staff on reception. The kitchen area is quite cramped and very close to the door to one of the bedrooms. People have to wait and take it in turns to get to the fridge or use the sink etc. Only a microwave but i managed to cook some noodles by soaking them in a bowl of boiling water. There could be a shelf or box of 'free food' as im sure people leave stuff behind. The dorm was very hot. The window was open but unfortumately my bed was round the corner and i did not feel the fresh air. A fan would be good. Also the curtain across the bed was very thin transparent fabric.

Helpful staff , clean facilities and central location . All round, a great hostel. Possibly a staff member could be on duty overnight. There was a medical emergency which meant I didn't sleep. I was given a full refund. I realise this was an unusual event. The hostel is a good place to stay

It’s a hostel but modern and clean. Guests were considerate. Good location. Bathrooms are shared - no en-suite.

Spotlessly clean, well organised and central. The woman who greeted us at reception (middle-aged, fair hair) was extremely helpful and friendly. Only one small thing: the young woman who goes to the rooms at 10:55 reminding you that you have to be out by 11:00 doesn’t have to sound so menacing.

Buena ubicación. Nos quedamos en este hostal durante la Semana Grande de Santander y la experiencia fue nefasta por varios motivos: 1. La llegada y la atención: Como había muchísimo tráfico y fue muy difícil aparcar, llamé por teléfono para avisar de que íbamos a llegar un poco justas al check-in (que cerraba a las 22:30) y pedir si podían esperarnos 10 minutos. La respuesta de la mánager por teléfono fue bastante borde y parecía que le estábamos pidiendo un sacrificio enorme por esperar solo unos minutos. 2. Falta de personal y seguridad: El hostal tiene poquísimos baños para la cantidad de habitaciones que hay (solo 3 duchas y 3 baños de chicas). Además, no hay nadie en recepción durante la noche. Esto nos dio muchísima inseguridad, sobre todo una noche en la que nos asustamos mucho con un hombre sentado a oscuras en el sofá de la zona común (justo al lado de nuestra habitación) mirando fijamente y con una sonrisa muy rara que nos siguió con la mirada. Nos dio muchísimo miedo porque, si pasa algo, ahí no hay nadie a quien acudir. Además, la puerta iba con código y nos daba pánico que cualquiera hubiera podido verlo y entrar a la habitación. 3. Plaga de cucarachas: La primera noche nada más llegar vimos una cucaracha y la matamos. A la mañana siguiente le pedimos a la mánager que por favor revisaran la habitación y echaran algún producto. Cuando volvimos por la tarde no olía a nada y nos dio la sensación de que no habían hecho nada. La tercera noche volvimos sobre la 1:00 porque una amiga se encontraba mal, me levanté a por agua y vi una cucaracha enorme. Después de conseguir matarla empezaron a salir de todas partes y llegamos a ver unas 15-20 cucarachas en la habitación. Daba muchísimo asco, sobre todo habiendo tenido las maletas abiertas en el suelo. Al salir a la zona común, vimos unas tres cucarachas más en el salón y otra gigante en el baño. 4. Gestión de la situación: Llamé a la mánager y la respuesta por teléfono fue desagradable y sin ningún sentido.

Very clean, safe, excellent location, comfortable, super helpful staff. Great value for an overnight stay. Nothing. All perfect. Maybe just a little choice of snacks if you’re hungry in the night or for a quick breakfast, but I’m being picky.
