Location, bathroom was okay too. Not as advertised. Someone told me it was way too expensive. I agree. Small room, not the one advertised, tight bathroom (though it was clean and somewhat renovated), very old closet, no bedside lamp, small tv, I felt like I was sinking in the mattress; it felt like it was salvaged furniture. The corridor just outside the room has no wall thickness to it, so at 5:30am you can hear very clearly how people move and use the "kitchen", chat loudly, and the tableware they use. The roof of this corridor hasn't been cleaned in quite a while; bird depositions, feathers and dirt cover partially the little natural light that can come through. Some walls were rotting as well as the wooden floor, poorly sealed windows and slightly tilted doors towards an inner space, even staff told me "we can't leave your breakfast out here because things may fall on it". Mind you, this was the eating area in the corridor. And finally, breakfast was brought to me, however, cold and frugal. Of course, there are things they can't control, like noise from a pub going on to 4am, or the fact that power goes out because someone overloads something, but why would you take 40 minutes to come and check it? I had to check-out yet they kept me waiting for over half hour, since there is no desk to call directly.

Good location, the breakfast was good and on time and the staff was so nice. The tv remote didn’t work and we weren’t provided with a replacement or a compensation.

Good value, nice hot shower, fine breakfast

The personal staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. The hostal is near a subway station. Daily breakfasts overcome my expectations. My reservation implied a shared bathroom. There were many people for only one bathroom per floor. Hovewer, there is no way to fix this issue. But it is important to point out that you should try to get shower at night. Finding the bathroom free in the morning can be hard.

Cama confortable y tranquilo el entorno

There is no privacy and it is noisy, from your room you can hear people walking and talking in hallways , in the floor above and staff has no concept of privacy. One tiny shared bathroom for too many guests.

We had to rise early, before breakfast time so the staff left us the breakfast tray late in the evening. All we had to do was heat some water in the kitchen.

The location is great. Close to restaurants, cafes and bars of Providencia. The bed was comfortable and clean. The place itself is old and tired and needs a revamp. I had a private room with heating which was Ok. However, my private bathroom was annexed to the room with a very simple corrugated roof and no heater. In the middle of winter, Santiago is very cold so some heating in the bathroom is essential.
