Clean, neat Room didn’t have ventilation, all the humidity was enclosed in the room. Bed sheets were absorbing humidity all the time. Bathroom very small, water in shower didn’t drain properly.

Overall, the place was great. I would definitely stay there again. I could’ve used a yogurt and granola option for the breakfast, and the mattress was a bit soft for me.

Location

We noticed a 10% service fee was added to the room's original price upon arrival, which we didn't expect. We did not have this issue anywhere else we stayed in the Dominican Republic.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Zona Colonial, within walking distance of Santo Domingo’s main tourist attractions. Its colonial-style architecture transports you back in time, allowing you to imagine yourself in the atmosphere of the 16th–17th centuries. Inside, however, the hotel is fully adapted to modern needs. The clean rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a TV, a private bathroom, a coffee table, and armchairs. The bed is large and features soft, comfortable sheets. The breakfast offers a variety of healthy options. Overall, it is excellent value for the money. I would highly recommend this place for an extended stay. As a personal preference, I would prefer a firmer mattress.

Great location

Wonderful historic property. Bathroom could use an update.

Late check in, poor wifi reception in rooms, small room, cramped shower but functional. For a 3 star hotel it is good value.
-
Rooms are a little dark, but it is expected in such an old building.

Great location ion and atmosphere at colonial boutique hotel with patio and terrace.

This is a gorgeous hotel, tucked in a side street three blocks from the main Plaza. I was traveling alone, and arrived later than expected. However, staff was waiting for me and had my room cooled. The architecture and historical signicance of this place blew me away; combined with the modern amenities and rooftop terrace. Each day they serve a continental breakfast and hot coffe- perfect to not weigh you down as you leave to explore. The price was great, room was more than big enough, and the indoor courtyard welcomed me each morning with tropical birds. I would stay here again in a heartbeat- lovely place and lovely staff. Late night snack options- ie, if they gave an option to purchase a few chips for your room. I forgot to pick some up (my fault) and didn't want to go back out. Otherwise, no complaints at all!!

Receptionist was polite, but did not have the power to do anything and had to check in with her boss for everything. Location is good, but there is no designated temporary parking spot to unload luggage. Cancelled on me at 3:43pm, which is well past 3pm check-in time. If a customer cancels, customer is charged for the night as no show fee but if the Hotel cancels, then apparently there are no penalties. Hotel tried to provide alternate accomodation but we ended up wasting a solid 3-4 hours. The owner Rosemary did not show any accountability or empathy whatsoever. We had to walk a few blocks with our luggage to the new hotel. We understand that things can go wrong 7 it is perfectly fine, but staff should deal with empathy and make sure customer is valued.

We like the location and the price, very clean and neatly.

Great location in the Zona Colonial. The breakfast was very good. Breakfast could start at 7:30 am rather than 8:30 am, although coffee was available at 6:30!

A bit humid in the bedrooms on the ground floor

Location was great. Short walk to all interesting sites. Decent breakfast. Small room. I was promised kings size bed and full size bed in room. We’ve got two queens. Mosquitos or black flies live in the patio and find easy way to the room. Bring your mosquito net or repelent. Hotel door is locked all the time. With one receptionist it takes time to open the door.

We loved the air conditioner was cold. Its awesome after hot days out in the city. Very centric, close to tourist sites. Staff was awesome as was breakfast. We would have liked to have had a refrigerator to keep our water and drinks cool.
