I mentioned that I saw roaches in the room

I tried to check in and they said it was full.

The building needs a fresh paint outside.

Excellent knowledgeable and fast customer service with a smile. Room was as expected, clean and everything worked fine, free wifi included. Inside the hotel was in good condition, the lift worked as it should. The is an ATM in the lobby which is very convenient. At the upper floor there is a small pool and restaurant. All shops, galleries, restaurants, churches, supermarket and parks of the Zona Colonial are within 20 minutes strolling distance. The Zona Colonial is the old part of the Capital of Santo Domingo and you can see and visit the old buildings from even the Columbus period of year 1500, more than 500 years old. Almost all building are in good condition. In the evening there is live street music in the street and parks. There is enough visible security and police in the street, also in the evening. So I had a safe feeling. About 50 meters from the hotel you can find taxis or you can of course book Uber. The room price is very reasonable for the budget traveler. The outside of the hotel building needs some fresh colourfull paint.

The service was friendly and to the point, excellent customer service. Everything worked fine: air, fans, refrigarator, toilet, lights, doorlock, lift etc. Free wifi. Inside the hotel is an ATM. I felt very safe in the hotel and neighbour hood, the Zona Colonial which is the old centre of the capital with a lot of historial buildings. Enough visible security/police in the main areas of this part of the City during the day and evening. Everything, from colmados, restaurants, pharmacy, shops, galleries, casino, supermarket, parks etc are within walking distance of 20 minutes. In the evening you have live street music. Taxi is 50 meters further or you can call a Uber. It is not a luxury hotel but for as little as 1500 pesos a day tax included (25 USD) you get a decent and quiet room. So, I recommend this hotel for the budget traveler. It is an old building and the outside needs a nice fresh painting. However the inside is well maintained as far as I could see.

One of the few hotels I’ve stayed in in DR that actually had hot water! Even at 10X the price I’ve had cold water only elsewhere. Good location and actually pretty quiet. Rooms with windows! ? Most of the rooms are smaller than your closet at home. Most of the bathrooms are small enough for you to sit on the toilet while using the sink to brush your teeth and the shower area to wash your feet - maybe 28” x 48” or so. The guest policy is too restrictive.

Breakfast is subpar very limited items. They should charge more for breakfast and offer a decent breakfast and have more staff to help prepare the breakfast .

Staff very friendly and the housekeeping department aswell was perfect. They clean up my room every day anf change the bath towels The Hotel is also near everything. Conde is just crossed the road and is right there Also the breakfast for me was exellent Honestly nothing to say
