Ten to Ten Hostel

The bed was comfortable then most of the other hostels that I’ve stayed free amenities and locker The other guests was so noisy even after quite time and turning on the lights past 12 am . The toilets used wasn’t clean by the other guest also.

Toilet and shower room and shower room clean, near by Sapporo station, cheap I thought I had booked a women-only area, but there were also men staying on the 3rd floor. I was shocked and felt uncomfortable sharing the shower room and toilet with men because I didn’t know this in advance. Also, there is a gap above the curtains, so people can easily see inside other beds. The curtains are not secure either - if someone touches them while climbing to the upper bed, they open immediately and expose everything inside. This happened to my friend while she was changing clothes, which was very embarrassing. I also noticed many other reviews complaining about the same issue, but it seems the problem still hasn’t been fixed!

check in process is probably the worst out of any hostel. one of the tissue boxes on the 3rd floor appears to have blood stains on it, other than that the property was clean. there’s a significant gap between the roll down blinds and the bunk bed frame where people can look inside. its strange cause it could have definitely been constructed without the gap

Great location and good food

No security at all, doors open at all times so anyone could walk into the room. There is also no staff ever, so there is no way to get something or make a complaint if needed.

In walking distance from Sapporo station, even with heavy luggage und tons of snow. The place is really cute and also has great coffee, chai, curry and sake in the evenings. The check-in process was really bad and took like 30min. We had to dial into a video call with someone from an external agency to confirm the people etc. I think the problem was that the staff did not speak any English, so they outsourced to an agency.

Comfortable bed No way to do laundry; closest coin laundry is a 15-minute walk, a 10-minute walk from the station

It was ok, bed was nice there is enough space in the dorm for luggage and everyone No staff, just some cafe on the first floor. Couldn’t shower after 10 or 11pm it was ice cold (Could have argued that it’s to not bother other guests but the shower space is pretty well soundproof) . Since the place is pretty far off from everything I didn’t want to come back early and feel stuck there. So being twice unable to shower after a long day before going to sleep was off putting

Check in was by video call, which would have been fine but without staff physically present, I felt like guests were louder and messier than other hostels.

There's no one at the reception at all. The bed-space lacks privacy - too much gaps such that roommates can easily look into your bed-space.

Not a real community space to hang out with, just the restaurant

There is a self check in sistem that ends up with a remote video call to reception to confirm your identity, which beats the whole purpose of a self check-in, in my opinion. More over, there is a restaurant downstairs which provides a welcome drink, but only to be taken when the restaurant is open (I have been three nights there and it was never open). Also the kitchen supplies is only a microwave.

Best hostel I’ve ever been to. User-friendly and super efficient. The owner thought of everything each travelers might need and prepared them in advance. For example, indoor slippers, personal lockers, towels, hair dryers, etc. it’s perfect. No laundry service. A parking lot outside. And it’s a cozy place to study at first floor if you have a laptop. The bathroom is good with face soap, shampoo available . Location a bit far but acceptable The lower bed curtains have a small leak that might be a potential concern for privacy, which is the only place the hostel has to improve.

Good location, Good price, larger than usual lockers for storing things, and a nice curry restaurant on the ground floor.

My very first night in Sapporo I got a mild case of food poisoning, so I actually ended up in the bathroom for most of my first night. I spend the entire next day recovering in bed. I was so thankful for the comfortable bed, easy plug ins, fresh daily towels, and the privacy screen over my bunk. I actually extended my stay because of my sickness, ease of use accomodation, and its convenient location. I spent a total of five nights here. While the initial checking in process was a bit annoying not having a real person, I understand how it probably aided in the affordability. I do wish the gaps looking into each bunk weren't so large. However my biggest complaint was waking up with bites on my hands and arms. I didn't think much of it till my final morning when I woke up to a bug crawling on the wall. Took a picture and looked it up, yup, bed bugs. I hope it can be taken care of for the next guests!
