TownePlace Suites by Marriott Mobile Saraland

Upon check-in, we did not get the 2 room types we reserved which were 2 queens in each and to compromise, we were given a 3rd room. But all rooms were single bed with pullout bed and not close to each other. This required my family to completely split up and wife and I to separate along with the kids. This caused a big inconvenience as we share toiletries, food, etc.

Yes they went beyond to make sure I was happy

The air conditioner didn’t work and they didn’t have anybody from maintenance could fix it

Our key to our door KEPT messing up. Any and every time we left our room we had to KEEP going back down the elevator to get them to reset our key. The front desk kept saying how the keys were supposed to been fixed. That’s a huge inconvenience.

Room was large and had a nice kitchenette. Overall quality of finishes and cleanliness was okay to poor for a Marriott. Rug was wavy and torn but tapped down with duct tape. Finishes were run down, cabinet door in bathroom sagging, under beds dirty. Cooper machine too old/dirty to use. Hot water took 5mins to start warming up in bath sink. Breakfast food was the lowest quality possible. Could be a lot better with proper maintenace. Best to stay elsewhere

Nothing This place was a nice hotel a few years ago but it’s gone down hill exponentially.

I liked how close it was to the interstate. It was easy to access. I liked the size of the room. The hotel is outdated. The room and the hallway were not clean. There was cookies or some type of food that had been crumbled and smashed in the hallway a few doors down from us. The crumbles were all up and down the hallway for two days. It wasn't cleaned up Our room happened to have an oven in it. The oven was very dirty. There were not a lot of options at breakfast compared to other Townplace Suites that I have stayed at before.

Fine for a business stay however the free breakfast was horrible so not a selling point. Egg items were dry and crusty in the first day, no utensils, no yogurt the second day,

Previously very satisfied. This stay not so much. We were consistently told that the location was understaffed. Our refrigerator didn’t work and some of our groceries spoiled. By the third day, we finally got another refrigerator in the room. There was not enough towels. We washed our own towels and reused them. I think most of all the morning that we were checking out there was a staff meeting going on and I heard the supervisor tell the staff in attendance, please make sure that everything that they need is readily available because we don’t want to lose the contract with this company. Wowww!!!!! I will never be back to this hotel again.
