Grand Hotel Saranda

Great hotel! The sunbeds were the most comfortable I have ever experienced, and the staff were all very nice.. More vegetarian options would be nice in the restaurant but especially on the pool menu.. The only vegetarian option was a fruit salad.. I saw that French fries were a side item so I asked if I could have just those, but I was told that wasn’t an option.. The restaurant selection was slightly better.. The food was delicious, but if I stayed longer than the two nights I booked, I would have been annoyed by no more options..

Location We arrived at the hotel with several large suitcases, and although there was no luggage cart available, the staff kindly helped us carry our luggage to our room. That was appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience quickly went downhill. The front desk staff was cold and unwelcoming throughout our stay. When we entered our room, it was extremely hot. I checked the air conditioning vent and found it covered with white paint dust. As someone with asthma, I was very concerned about breathing in paint dust. I called the front desk, and the staff member came upstairs but minimized my concerns, saying, “It’s only dust from paint.” I requested that the vent be cleaned. Housekeeping came to the room but was unable to remove the vent cover because it had been painted over. We agreed to stay in the room for the night, expecting that it would cool down as we had been assured. We left for about five hours and returned late in the evening, but the room was still uncomfortably hot. We contacted the front desk again and were told that the air conditioning was controlled centrally by the hotel and that they would lower the temperature. Unfortunately, nothing changed. The manager eventually came to our room and offered us a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a nice gesture but did not solve the problem. The following morning, after barely sleeping, we both woke up with sore throats and headaches. The hotel moved us to another room on a lower floor, but the air conditioning there was no better. The next day, we became so uncomfortable that we decided to leave Sarandë altogether and take the ferry to Corfu, even though we had already paid for another night at the hotel. We left the air conditioning running, hoping the room would finally cool down before our return the following evening. It never did. The biggest disappointment was that the hotel controlled the air conditioning centrally and never provided guests with a comfortable room temperature.

- location: 5 mins walk from promenade with plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops nearby. a supermarket literally in front of the hotel - breakfast: good breakfast served in daily basis - decent sun beds at sea side (this hotel has no beach, but you can swim) - good pool - polite staff - Cleaning: The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, in the shower. sink was disgusting enough to think twice before washing your hands - internet signal weak - food at the beach restaurant really really low quality

Really liked the beach and free beach chairs. Staff was great and very helpful Room very small for price and breakfast started at 8, that was a little late for us.

Perfect place to stay in Saranda. A kind of island of magic close to pedestrial area of the city with all the neccesary services around. Very modern infrastructure, amazing view from balcony, and delicios sea food served by professional team. Breathtaking and spectacular experience ;)

We are very pleased with our stay at the Grand Hotel. The service was excellent, the breakfast was wonderful, and the beach was beautiful. Marjus at the reception was incredibly kind, helpful, and dedicated to making our stay the best it could be. I have been to many hotels in Saranda but never meet a nicer guy than him. Thank you!
