SpringHill Suites by Marriott Sarasota Bradenton

The place was in remodel, the room had ans, and not in good condition. First time staying in a Marriott hotel and my experience was bad.

The first room they gave us was not cleaned. The sofa was taken apart and wet washcloths on the floor. Easy mistake to give us a room that was not yet cleaned, but then the second replacement room had tiny bugs on the counters and the phone was broken with the cord unable to attach to the receiver. Also, the air conditioner unit had a lot of water on the rug in front of it.

The only thing that I wasn’t able to do is swim as there was a closed notice.

Upon arriving in our first room, there was a noticeable moldy smell, so we requested to be moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room had ants, along with concerns about the overall housekeeping. The sofa bed in particular had visible stains and crumbs, which was very disappointing and made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. We were eventually moved to a third room, where we encountered another maintenance issue—the bathroom sink was draining extremely slowly, indicating a plumbing problem that should have been addressed before the room was assigned to guests. Breakfast was okay overall, but the coffee area did not appear to be properly maintained from a hygiene standpoint, which was another disappointment. I will say that the front desk staff were very helpful, courteous, and accommodating, and I appreciate their efforts to assist us with the room changes. However, given the multiple issues we experienced with cleanliness, pests, maintenance, and overall upkeep, I expected much better from Marriott. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the housekeeping and maintenance standards, as these issues significantly impacted our stay

Room was very clean and well maintained. All the staff was very courteous and helpful with any questions that came to ask. Very nice room, did not expect the amenities thst was provided. I would recommend this stay time to anyone who'm is wanting to stay. The price for the stay is reasonable and well worth a place to consider to choose.

Great location! Staff is very friendly. The property is in dire need of repairs. Elevator was broken, leaks in several rooms, the electrical room door was propped open the whole time with a large fan blowing on the circuit board. Felt like we were staying in a construction site there was so many issues.

Close to the beach Not as expected elevator not working almost in it ,carpet smells bad , sofa bed has stains, shower not draining properly, toilet seat not secured , ac makes lot of noise, you can hear all neighbors , also had hard time opening and closing the door to the room, breakfast not good at all those eggs are nasty , garbage can were full of trash plus we didn’t get room service

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived.The room we were given was not in acceptable condition and did not appear to be properly prepared for a new guest. There was an unpleasant odor, the room was noticeably dirty, and the bedding was dirty, stained, and had a bad smell. These are basic cleanliness standards that I would expect any hotel to meet before handing a room over to a guest. Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. During our stay, the elevator was not working, which created an additional inconvenience for us. The quality of the food was also very disappointing and far below what we expected. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that this was not just one isolated problem. We experienced issues with cleanliness, the condition and readiness of the room, the bedding, the hotel facilities, and the food—all during the same stay. When you pay to stay at a hotel, you expect at the very least a clean and properly prepared room, functioning facilities, and a reasonable level of service. Sadly, that was not our experience.I understand that unexpected problems can happen, but the number of issues we encountered made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing. Based on the experience we had and the amount we paid, I do not feel that we received the quality or service we paid for. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recom
