The hotel is tailored to anyone wanting a high-end, quiet location but proximal yo great dining options. Bedding and rooms are top notch but the shower was my absolute favorite with large panel, black tile and rain can shower head. So gorgeous !! We opened the sketch book and created some art after dinner. Keep your eyes open for those little details that make thus place special. Gift shop is EXCELLENT as is the rooftop lounge!

Beautiful rooms, cold plunge, hot tub, and pool were fantastic. Wink wink Food , and drink was great chef is phenomenal. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Nothing everything was perfect

Weird that there was no microwave in the room, and I had to ask for one. I’ve never seen that before considering the cost of the room.

We came for a great overnight stay to enjoy the 7 Paintings dining experience. Unfortunately we did have a few issues with our room due to cleanliness. The front desk staff’s willingness to help said a lot. Housekeeping needs better leadership to ensure rooms are not in the state that we found ours in.

Such a modern and beautiful place to stay! Great vibe, location, amenities, and restaurant! We had a room by the pool. It had its own prove patio which was super nice! Highly recommend!

The room was nice but there were no drawers or to put our clothes except a shelf so we were living out of suitcases the entire time. The hotel staff, however, was hard to get ahold of. I would try calling the front desk with a question, because we had to call them to turn off the fan outside, and no one would answer. There was also nothing written in the room to explain that. So I would walk to the front and no one was there. No one would hold the doors for us while we’re bringing our luggage out on the cart ourselves. The only one that was helpful was the valet. He was the only one offering us help. Overall, the pool was the highlight.

Rooms are very spacious and has a great design There was a rack for wineglasses bit no glassware - that would have been nice Balcony had a great view of the pool Great food at the pool bar, really great staff at breakfast Charge extra resort fee 28 usd per night (it was already expensive) Could not enjoy the pool since there was 15 kids jumping and screaming, parents were in the bar and could not care less.. staff should have pointed this out for them, we also have 2 kids and are always very strict with following pool rules, basic showing respect to others.. expensive for what you get

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our stay at The Modern Sarasota was filled with issues from the moment we arrived. To make matters even more disappointing, this was not just a random weekend stay. We stayed from Friday through Sunday as part of my birthday weekend, a surprise getaway planned by my wife. Instead of spending the weekend relaxing and celebrating, we found ourselves dealing with one issue after another. Despite all the problems we experienced, we never once received a visit, phone call, or even a simple acknowledgment from management. For a hotel that claims to value its guests, we certainly didn’t feel like valued customers. If you are a wheelchair user, have mobility challenges, or require accessible accommodations, I would strongly recommend another property altogether.

Amazing all around

The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Valet was easy, check-in was smooth, and everything just felt relaxing and well taken care of. It definitely felt like the perfect mix of upscale and fun. We stayed for a special occasion and it made the whole weekend feel even more memorable. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a trendy, relaxing Sarasota getaway or staycation!

Breakfast was amazing – everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was modern and stylish, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing. I’ll definitely visit again.

Rooms were nice, location was perfect for the play we were seeing. Restaurant food was just okay. Nothing really exceptional. I had two old fashion’s from the bar and they both tasted completely different. Again they were just okay.
