Great location; friendly staff. The bedroom was, at best, tired in appearance and overall disappointing. The shower was poor and the screen on the bath didn’t protect the floor from being flooded. The taps on the sink were loose and basically moved when you used them.

Great weekend away with a friend. Loved the location and calmer north Bay Area. Easy to walk into South Bay and town centre. All the team were very friendly and helpful. Easy parking opposite. Beds were comfortable and the twin room was cosy but plenty for us and as described. Atmosphere was really good, happy guests and a nice terrace with sea view.

Location was great staff were friendly Beds very narrow not normal singles and not very comfortable tiny room had to book two nights when only needed one so worked out expensive

Nice location The ‘deluxe’ room was hardly deluxe. Small, basic bedroom with a tiny bathroom and ridiculous shelf preventing the tiny sink to be used effectively.

The staff and sea view Cleanliness very poor

Nothing Do not stay here at any cost! Two of our 4 nights stay, we had no sleep as there was drunken domestic abusive fighting in the hotel, which police needed to be called to. Several aged guests hadn't slept either and stated they felt frightened due to the behaviour of drunk guests. We paid an extra £100 on top of the £266 as the basic room was clearly unfit for purpose. The upgraded room was large with a nice sea view but very, very tired, dirty, stained floor, unclean bathroom, and generally unfit for private guests. The door didn't close properly, and we felt unsafe for our whole stay. The bathroom plumbing kept blocking, and when I raised this with staff, nothing happened, and the manager actually tried to accuse us of blocking the sink, which we did not. The bed was very uncomfortable and bedding tired and stained. When I raised concerns with Duty manager, he said this was sadly how the hotel is these days and when I raised with General manager after our stay was completed, he again was ambivalent to the issues and again accused us of blocking the sink. We asked for a part refund and were flatly refused..At 56 years old and someone who regularly travels all over the UK and abroad, I can confidently say this is the worst hotel I have ever had the unfortunate luck to reside in.

Location was perfect for the open air theatre and the views over the bay were stunning. The bathroom sink and shower didn’t drain well.

Nice meal in the restaurant in the afternoon, good breakfast, pleasant and friendly staff. Close to the open air theatre The room was very small and run down, although it was clean.

The staff were helpful I stayed in a kingsize room with seaview. They dont have fans available for people staying. The room cleanliness was very poor - dust everywhere, part used complimentary products, dirty bathroom floor. Broken :- toilet seat, toilet roll holder, blind in bed room. Door opened by room cleaner, no knock. They even used the toilet before they left, left the lid up & hadn't flushed. Very very glad not to have a meal there. DEFINITELY NOT worth the money - 100% would never go there again.

It was located near to the open air theatre where we was attending Attic room smelt slightly damp shower unit was tiny and the room was tired. Breakfast was poor as my bacon was cold and the sausage was not cooked in the middle.

It was close to the venue The room smelt of dog wee and the carpet.

Location and view. The room facilities were not up to a high standard, and there was also some water leaking from the ceiling.

Great sea views. Positioned on the North Shore overlooking the sea. Bathroom was dirty with items broken or in poor repair. It appeared to us that the room (111) was being lightly cleaned but items that were broken weren't being fixed. The bathroom light switch was dirty, the extractor fan didn't work, the bath mat was mouldy, the shower grout was dirty, the silicone around the bath was mouldy, a toilet roll holder was loose, the toilet seat lid was detached, a towel rail was unusable as it was detached at the top and the wood that boarded in the pipework was filthy (see photo of tissue). The lampshade on the bedside lamp was rotting away. I had to go to reception for an additional toilet roll. On checking out, I told the duty manager of my dissatisfaction to which he said I should have brought these matters to someones attention and they could have changed the room. I told him that we had via booking.com and he said that they didn't often get chance to look at the site which seems odd as we had booked the room though that particular website. In making this statement it becomes clear that management are not checking the rooms regularly and the standard of room cleaning is abysmal. We didn't eat at The View restaurant because if the standard of the kitchen is the same as room 111 then we would have been hospitalised! We won't be visiting this hotel ever again.

Location - dinning room bar restaurant A basic room that could have been much better presented to make more usable / comfortable / without much effort or cost - mattress, bathroom, general maintenance etc. Breakfast starts too late at 8.30
