Candlewood Suites Portland - Scarborough by IHG

The location was great and easy to get to restaurants and attractions. The suite was very roomy and quiet.

Nice that rooms have some cookware dishes etc, but would sure be nice to have a small knife to cut instead the big one, Some kitchen shears maybe on a chain screwed into the wall if worried about theft. More information on what is available to purchase or to borrow as those were great, but I did not happen on some of it until I had stayed several days or already purchased items. Would have been nice to be able to purchase some items in small quantity such as a baggie with 3 or 4 packets of catsup, mustard, mayonnaise, salt, pepper and small tubs of peanut butter and jelly. small containers of cooking oil. more than one kind of laundry detergent (some for sensitive skin) dryer sheets. I hated that I ended up throwing away lots of food items due to not being able to buy small enough amounts for my needs from the grocery store.

The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family of 5 plus dog. We had a great one night stay.

Walked into the room twice with no warning on separate occasions. Stated they gave notice for a fire drill via a slip of paper under door we did not receive one then they proceeded to gaslight us and ignore the fact that they walked in on us with no prior warning and we were indecent. Major violation of privacy and overall treatment was rude and uncaring about our stay. Floors were weak and buckled in spots around the room and in the shower. Smelled of mildew or mold which led to us getting congested. The kitchen was not fully equipped with several key items missing like a sponge and utensils. Asked for a sponge and got a magic eraser. Compared to other long stay hotels in the area this one isn't worth the prices they charge or how poorly guests and their privacy are treated.

The two bedroom suite was a nice option when traveling with an adult child A little pricey but I guess it was due to it being busy season

Was nice having a kitchen. We were able to make a hot breakfast, grocery store was across the street. It was conveniently located close to Portland Maine and right off interstate. Perfect for 1 night stop over.

I did not have breakfast at the site. The building is getting a little worn but overall, it was clean. There are too many dogs barking in the rooms.

Wonderful hotel, room was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful . Wish we could have stayed longer.

So overall my experience was good but I got 2 rooms and asked them to be next to one another as we were in a group of girl scout and we were not one was in building A and the other was in Building B this was not easy for the girls as they thought they were going to be nextdoor to one another. When I ask the desk when checking in they said there was nothing they can do as they were fully booked and seemed like it was an inconvenience to look for me. The hotel was nice and clean but that was an issue for a group of young ladies.

Spacious room and clean. Kitchen was a nice bonus. I wish the property had a pool.

Definitely well used. Had some wear and tear that caused us some issues. Loud non-functional ice maker in the freezer, kind of run down bathroom. None of the TVs seem to work properly. Worst part, right next to 95 so engine breaking semis all night long.

Exceptional

The room was clean and ready when we got there for checking. Lots of space and it was comfortable for a weeklong stay. I enjoyed the amenities available including shampoo and conditioner and a kitchenette. It was centrally located and we were able to access everything we wanted from the hotel. Lots of places nearby that we wanted to see. Quick trip to Portland and other areas in southern maine

We stayed in unit 331. The carpets are old, dirty and have very bad smel. Bad state of carpets.
