Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Scarborough

Breakfast area was too small for the size of the property and felt congested even with barely 15 customers. There wasn't enough space to walk by the food counter. Items like bread was not being stocked enough. Bagels quality was very poor.

The staff are kind and friendly so we felt very welcomed. The breakfast was as really good. The man who served the breakfast buffet was really nice and helpful very funny and enjoyable to talk to. The front desk staff were equally nice and accommodating. The room is clean with enough toiletries and towels it just have a funky smell. That’s the only thing I did not like the smell in the room. It had a sour smell. Maybe it’s the carpet . But I’d stay in this place again when we do come back to visit Portland Maine again

Rooms were clean and comfortable, good breakfast with lots of options, plenty of parking available as well. We could hear the interstate traffic from our room all day and all night, we could also hear the people staying above us walking constantly and every time they used the washroom

I will return but my radar will be up a bit next time for cleanliness and billing.

Great place for a family stay. Reasonable uber to airport and old orchard beach (less than $30). Great continental breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Will stay again.

It was very comfortable stay, staff is very nice!

There was a terrible urine stench in the room. We complained and were told that all first floor rooms smelled because of carpets. They tried to neutralize the smell by putting ( not sure exactly what though) for 30 minutes while we were out of the room. All told, it was unpleasant

It was so noisy from the highway traffic and air conditioning condenser.... Even though the best was nice and comfy, I could not sleep due to the noise. I could recommend the hotel, but not that side of the building

Cleaning lady on last day knocked at 9am. I had a sign on door to not disturb. She returned again while my daughter and I were in the vanity room. Not hearing a knock I stepped into the living area to change and she entered while my door was locked.

Convenience. Nice amenities We stayed 2 days & there was no maid service: sheets were not changed,bed was not made & no fresh towels were provided.

Location and staff

Good location , accommodation were good . Pull out couches could use new mattress they were not comfortable either were the pillows.

Excellent service and location close to Portland if you want to save some money but still be very close to downtown.

If you are a light sleeper this place is very close to the highway when loud traffic all night.

Everything was almost perfect except for the suite was too close to the turnpike and I heard traffic in the middle of the night. Also, if I was staying longer than 4 days, I would not have enough drawers to put my clothes in. The suite could have been larger.
