I thought the Black Swan excellent. Close to the middle of Scarborough, 10mins from the cricket ground. Friendly welcome. Nothing springs to mind. It’s a good, functional, place to stay with a decent pint in the bar.

It wasn't the best of nights sleep. The mattress was worn, so I felt like I was being tipped off the bed. They should consider replacing these. Maybe it was just my room.

The owners were fantastic and very knowledgeable ok the area and where to eat... Also free pool and genuinely made to feel at home

From walking in to walking out I felt like a family member. I travel a lot , but these finds are rare. The room was ideal , great bed , shower was hot , room spacious … no awful smells . The landlord is a tonic , funny , accommodating and nowt is too much trouble. There’s a good crowd gets in , I was made very welcome by the locals. I clocked myself at the bar and never moved. Fresh barman took control, nice lad , well spoken and no fool. The banter was good . I had all of Scarborough to discover , I never left the place . Speaks volumes… These gems are few and far between , I’ll be back ….. Nothing , it was right up my stratzer

A backstreet pub with sky sports etc at first appeared a little daunting, but the welcome was wonderful, room was excellent for me and I would definitely come again.

The staff were extremely helpful, my wife left an item of clothing behind a door and when I contacted the black swan the lady I spoke to found the item and posted it back to us . Exceptional service ! Well done the Black Swan. No food available.
