Clean, charming and centrally located
-
They significantly more than your quote and then charged $177 on top of that, which they have not refunded.

It was an older property, but very clean and safe. Good location!

Cozy.
-
Obviously in the middle of redecorating so things are tatty and/or ugly. Wish there had been staff available to answer questions

Stayed here for several nights while a family member had surgery at Harborview. The hotel is comfortable and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel and rooms are old, and it's a little noisy in the neighborhood. But it was great for what I needed and a reasonable price for Seattle.

Location The elevator kept breaking down, the toilet broke down constantly.

OK, so for those of you who aren’t familiar with the bottom of hospital Hill, there are three old hotels (the Sorrento, the Inn at Virginia Mason and the Baroness)- all within half a city block of each other/across the street from each other. The rooms that seem the most outdated are at the Inn and the Baroness. The later of which used to be an apartment complex. If you’re into modern amenities and modern updated furniture none of these hotels are gonna do it for you. I hate to say it, but Wi-Fi it off three places is to be desired as well. If you want nostalgia only moderately overpriced, you’re gonna go to the Sorrento (it’s definitely more upscale ). If you’re on a budget, you’re gonna end up at the baroness or the Inn (but you’re gonna wanna make a trip to Sorrento/Stella for a bite) All that being said, the staff at the front desk and the café and restaurants at the Inn/Baroness (same management) have improved so much over the last three years that they are worth mentioning. I particularly found Dominic the lead front desk agent at the Inn/Baroness to be extremely helpful and was willing to deal with me me asking him to print out documents from my laptop and make copies for me and seemingly one million other things over the course of my stay. The Rho cafe is quaint with solid food and drinks, and a great coffee bar. The best part about being in any of these places is the price versus location. Quiet and safe and easy to get to all the Seattle destinations.

The biggest disappointment were the amenities. There were none. No front desk staff - you had to go across the street to another hotel to check in and check out. No breakfast room - again across the street. There was only one elevator which was very shaky. Cleaning staff was nice.

Always an excellent stay and it makes coming to Seattle a pleasure every time. Thank you.

Built in 1931 the building is very old, has no A/C which was not an issue in late May Seattle. There was no in-house staff, help was available across the street in a partner hotel. There is a paid parking lot behind the hotel with about 20 spots, I was lucky to find one available when I needed it. I though this hotel would be convenient for my stay and allow me to walk to the Paramount Theater, unfortunately the walk had very steep inclines to and from.

Stayed for medical procedures nearby. Old building but very clean, comfy bed, and large room with microwave and frig. Small bathroom and no AC. At the top of a big hill so be aware if walking from Symphony Station. Otherwise very convenient to surgical centers and well priced for downtown.
-
No built in air unit of any kind, but there were a couple box fans that, when paired with an open window, fought off the stuffiness just fine.

Beds were comfy, the kitchenette was really nice to have. Obviously an older building, but updated nicely while keeping its charm. No built in air unit of any kind, but there were a couple box fans that, when paired with an open window, fought off the stuffiness just fine.

Parking and check in was a bit weird. Walk to one hotel to check in at the other. Some work was going on, so understandable, however discount price.
-
Clean room, but no way to cool room except open windows, then was noisy. IF you are lucky you can park on the street, otherwise have to pay to park in public lot!!
-
The remodel is looking good.

Exceptional

Clean nice room with good price! The elevator isn't the best but otherwise everything is nice
