Great communication which made for a very easy stay

Just a 15-minute walk to the station. Having a kitchen and washing machine in the unit was super convenient. Absolutely zero flexibility with checkout. 10:00 AM is painfully early, and since there is no staff on-site, you can’t store your luggage anywhere after leaving. Keyless entry hassle: You’re given three separate codes (front door, room, and bathroom). Mine didn’t work upon arrival, forcing me to call customer service. Memorizing three codes just to use the bathroom in the middle of the night is wildly unnecessary and annoying.

Location was great. Great and greatest value for the money. Many amenities, including laundry. Theres a mini fridge in every room, and coffee maker (Nespresso). You would not need to go out and meet the other guests at all if the bathroom wasn't outside the room because the room has everything you could possibly need. Owner is very nice and cares about offering a good service. The picture shows like the bathroom is inside the room but its not always true. There are 9 rooms in total but only 3 of them have the bathroom within the room. The other 6, you'd have to exit to the shared area to access them. They are still private because only you have the code and can access it, but I expected different, as I checked different rooms from the same building and purposely wanted the one with the bathroom inside. For this main reason, I wouldn't really recommend it for solo ladies traveling, as it's a shared space and you have to constantly enter shared areas to go to the bathroom. There were many other guests, and they were super loud. Phones ringing all night, some people screaming and some even sounded like they were drilling in the middle of the night. None of this is the owners fault though, it's just rude people that don't follow the rules. Considering Seattle can be super sunny up until 9 PM and sun comes out really early during summer, some people might have a hard time because the window covers are way too thin and a lot of light will get in almost all the time. For the price paid though, it was still very much worth it, its just some details that could be important to some people.

The neighborhood was very nice with some restaurants and shops close by. Volunteer Park and the fancy houses along 14th Ave are a good place for a walk. Host provided lots of helpful communication. The walls seemed thin because I could hear people in the other rooms easily (walking, talking). That said - they do provide earplugs. Parking can be a hassle. I got lucky a couple times, but the second night was circling for 20 minutes. The bathroom could use hangers for clothes. Having to use codes to go in/out of both the bedroom and bathroom got old fast.

Host was very kind and responsive. Comfy and clean.

Enjoyed my stay, rooms were very clean and so was the bathroom. Was a great place to lay my head after running around Seattle and Washington all day for a decent price.

Vince was very helpful with everything we needed, nice neighborhood and good place to rest after a long day.
-
Safe, easy and quick access to our room. Neighbor guest were not at all rude or obnoxious. Everyone respected each other and minded their own business. Parking was not easy.
-
Entering codes every time to get in and out of the bathroom. It wasn't even connected. The bedroom didn't have a mirror or a clock. It was weird.

The property is clean and is in a great area. However, the management is awful. First of all know that you are going to have to pay more through a different site for a cleaning fee and pet rent. Usually I would have canceled my reservation for this, but we were in a situation where we needed something fast. The manager for some reason would not give us any details about the property until the morning of our first day there, and the numeric key that he gave to get into the room was for a room that was occupied! There was an open suitcase in it. Then we were given a key to a different room and the door wouldn’t close and it kept beeping. I had had it and yelled at him over the phone to just give us a refund but he said no. You’d think that giving us a key to SOMEONE ELSE’S DOOR would have been enough to give us our money back but no. So anyway, don’t stay here. Some random person might just walk right into your room.

BATHROOM MAY NOT BE CONNECTED TO ROOM. Ours was not, only 3 units out of 8 have connected bathrooms. Other have disconnected, but private bathrooms. Check-in was not intuitive, host was unhelpful when I communicated that the laundry machine didn't work, had overall investment-property vibes. Bed was comfortable, location was great.

Cons: terrible parking EVER, had to wait to get the WiFi to work, codes ok ever door to get into, bathroom separate from the actual room, no AC, no fan, no mirrors

Home was clean and brand new. Room was large enough and spacious for two but host uses misleading photos. The “Kraken Suite” Infact does not have a connected bathroom which was quite the bummer. You have a private bathroom but have to leave the room in order to access it. Building walls are paper thin as others mentioned, you hear every conversation, door code, door opening and closing of upstairs and downstairs and neighboring units. The room and space were very clean and comfortable otherwise. Street Parking is available but quite the headache. For the price, this place is awesome with its location to all downtown things. But be prepared for small headaches here and there if you can’t handle other room noises etc.

Except for parking, this place is great. Nice modern rooms, showers, beds.

I absolutely loved our stay at the Seattle Kraken Sweet Suite. I wasn't sure what to expect when I realized it was a hostel but it went above and beyond my expectations. It was easy to check in, very clean, and so comfortable. I felt like I was in my college apartment again. Also enjoyed the kitchen space. It made it so easy to cook dinners with everything needed. Highly recommend.
