Cecil Bacon Manor

David and Anne were perfect hosts. They made a wonderful effort with the breakfast and knew when to just leave us alone. The Manor is quaint, comfortable, and lovely. Within walking distance to restaurants and coffee. It's slightly removed from downtown Seattle, but nothing a quick rodeahare or Lime bike/scooter doesn't fix. We'll be back! NOTE: Parking can be a challenge, but we were lucky to find street parking close to the Manor throughout our visit.

Location was nice, the employees were very helpful and let us drop our luggage off before check in time. So appreciate that. The limited time that breakfast was served. We’ve stayed at several B&B’s and in our experience they typically serve breakfast for 2-3 hours, starting at 6-7 am. Due to tours booked & outgoing flights we were unable to experience it; they had a wonderful and beautiful dining room as well as 2 different sitting areas to just relax. Both were very appealing and sorry we didn’t get a chance to enjoy them.

Friendly hosts, excellent location, and a cozy room. We felt very welcome and at home. The ventilation in the bedroom and the pillows needed improvement, but these were minor issues. Overall, an excellent place to stay!

Nice historic restored old home. A bit too nostalgic for our tastes but a great stay at a very good and accessible property -absolutely do not need a car for this property. Two minute walk to the bus and or 15 minutes to the train. Easy Peezy for getting around Seattle indeed. Chairs I room were historic - aka, not comfy

Beautiful property, loved the historic charm and the decor. Some of the bedding was a bit threadbare in places, and some of the pillowcases on our bed seemed too small for the pillow with the pillow hanging out. The towels smelled like they’d been left damp in the dryer. We stayed for four nights and rooms were only cleaned on request. At one point, we noticed trash from the room next door left in the hallway left there for two days.

The lady that was running the place was great probably would come back just for her. The property needs maintenance. We had issues with some bathroom faucet and shower faucet. Also can see several lightbulbs out on the property needs more maintenance.

Location was good. A few blocks from the train/metro to get downtown. Quick Uber to restaurants a bit out of the way. Room was nice. Very quiet and comfortable. Staff was excellent as were the other guests. Breakfast was very tasty.

Upon arrival, we weren't sure which door was the actual entrance. That would be my only minor dislike.

This was such a darling B&B! The hostess was warm and welcoming and the property was tranquil. We stayed in the Carriage House which I highly recommend. The provided breakfast was fantastic and the best part was the resident dog. He was such a sweetheart and it was the perfect way to be welcomed onto the property. If you have the chance, I strongly recommend staying here.

This house is amazing. We felt very welcome here. David is such a super host and made our stay here feel so special. We would not hesitate to come back.

The house was really pretty. Close to a bus. Liked the location. No amenities like snacks or little muffins or pastries sitting out for early guests. A plate of food is served to you for breakfast so if you have a big appetite this wouldn’t be the place to eat. Waiting for coffee to be made was inconvenient. An 8:30 breakfast is too late for guests who have a busy day or heading to a hike. No ice cold water available and if so , was never informed. Had a bit of shampoo in a travel size bottle in room. And a couple squirts of hand soap in bathroom. I got the impression that owner was trying to not use too much of the fees from guests. Parking was here and there. Very narrow streets in this old neighborhood. Bed was uncomfortable. We sank toward the middle. Seldom saw the owner.

Communication with the host was difficult when we tried to book an additional night to our original booking. We ended up having to ask a family member to walk down and meet the host to straighten this out. Even if that we never received an email confirmation. Host was very friendly though, And it all worked out. I would return to visit the Cecil Bacon Manor in the colder rainy months, as it is very cozy and beautiful and well appointed inside. However, I am very sensitive to outside noises and the constant noises of being in the flight path of the airport made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden, even with the fountain that was so nicely included in the landscape. I think that the overall guest experience would be more enjoyable if the coffee was better in the morning. Investing in a better coffee maker would be well worth it. We ended up walking out to get coffee to bring back. Never underestimate the value of a great cup of coffee. That being said we would still return during winter months.

The Cecil Bacon was a perfect stay for us! We stayed in the Carriage House which we found comfortable and clean. The house and common areas are charming and well maintained. David was helpful and thoughtful host. Breakfast in the morning was perfect.
