Had to come up to Seattle for my daughter's university graduation. Because it was also a World Cup match weekend, the hotels (FIFA) were gouging and hotel prices insane. I was happy to have found this property in Capitol Hill at a reasonable price since it was walking distance to my daughter's dorm. Because I normally stay in hotels in the area or the airport, I was slightly anxious that I was going to be staying at a bed and breakfast tha I hadn't done so in so long. I WAS SO GLAD I STAYED AT THE CECIL BACON MANOR!!! It is such a cool property; kinda victorian and with so much character! I stayed 2 nights at the Emerald room which seemed sub-basement but since the weather was unusually scorching, the room was quite cool (no A/C but a fan was provided- totaly fine!) The common areas (library, salon, dining, and living area) were super cool and lots of things to look at. The Emerald room itself had a living area, huge bed, claw bathtub, shower and big bathroom. Wifi was decent. The furniture was cool, bed comfy and they even had an iron and board when I asked. bathroom amenities too! The included breakfast was fun as you sat with everyone starting at 8:30am (till 9:30) and the owner brought out the same for everyone (when I was there dietary restrictions were taken care of- Coffee, juice, was also available! It was fun speaking to all the other visitors- most were in town rooting for their teams in the WC. Safe, fair, clean, great staff. Will stay again for sure! Thank you!!!

Very rustic, too much for me. The keys didn't always work which was inconvenient. Off street parking does not mean there is a parking lot for your car. Check in was on the phone. I could not get the air conditioner to work but there was a fan in my room. Wi-Fi worked well but the TV kept turning off. It was just not for me. Don't let my review skew you I just am a hotel with amenities girly. If you like antiques and friendly puppies then this place could be okay for you.

This was a clean, well kept property. We loved the beautiful gardens and delicious breakfast each morning. It was fun to stay in a house that was so unique. The location was great; quiet, but only 10-15 minutes to most places we wanted to see. The only reason I would rate it 4 stars is that I thought it was good - but not great - for kids. I think a couple traveling or friends is best suited for this property. We loved our stay overall!

The place is magical, 1909 house, fully furnished with period furniture. As a guest you have access to 3! Living rooms, tea 24/7, super nice staff, fantastic neighborhood with shops and restaurants, and easy commute to downtown. Highly recommended!!!!

This was my first time at a bed and breakfast, I was traveling with my 20 year old daughter and she really wanted to stay there so we did! The room was spacious and clean and had good amenities, some of the furniture is original to the house so it was nice to feel the history, the owner was very nice and accommodated our request to keep our bags in the library room and return the key 2 hours after normal checkout time (we needed the key to re-enter the building), breakfast was nice and different from day to day, coffee and multiple variations of teas were available but I am sorry the coffee was watery, they did provide instant coffee to make it stronger but we just went out for coffee after breakfast, the manor is charming with old but well kept furniture and very nice decor, they have a very cute super friendly golden retriever and we had so much fun playing with him every morning, I wish we had access to the history of the manor, I googled it and found out it was built in 1909 by a chemical engineer, there are a lot of coffee shops and restaurants at a short walking distance and u can take the bus to downtown and walk to pike place and honestly you can even then walk to pike place, we mostly Uber’ed but we took the bus and train and monorail one time each, overall, if u r a bed and breakfast kind of person, this is a really great option

Breakfast each morning was tasty and set a good start to the day. The hosts were friendly, easy to talk with, and happy to offer tips about the area. The location worked out well — it’s in a quiet neighborhood, but still convenient for getting around. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing place to stay, and I’d be glad to come back.

When we arrived we were absolutely stunned at how lovely the guest house was. It is like stepping back in time 100 years or more - original features and decor everywhere. The location is spot on - loads of bars and restaurants in Capitol Hill all within walking distance, a nice park 10 minutes away and a bus stop that takes you right upto Pike Place. Breakfast was very nice - my only observation is we could have done with a bit more of it - but thats being a bit picky. A nice touch is that breakfast is served around a huge dining table so you get to meet the other guests.

Pretty good for my first Airbnb! The outdoor lounge area is beautiful and serene! Perfect for late afternoon/evening relaxing. Perks because I was able to get a room with a private entrance. Loved that it was an older building. Gave it a cozy charm. The smart tv where you could sign into your apps was nice as well. Chill host (and co-host, their friendly dog 😊). Smooth check in and check out. Would stay there again!
