The State Hotel

Beautiful hotel. Fantastic location, around the corner from Pike Place Market, and our room had a fabulous view. We enjoyed the views (and cocktails) from the rooftop terrace, and everyone on staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to our next stay!

The location was perfect. The room we had wasn’t comfortable at all. A bed and a desk chair was about it for room decor. Desk chair was not comfortable. Needs a loveseat or some other seating. The biggest disappointment was the food. We ordered room service and it was inedible. We complained but nothing was offered in way of compensation. One of the amenities was that we were to receive $15 off our room service order and that was not applied. We paid $29 a night for “amenities” Location is very close to Public Market and an easy walk.

The hotel was clean and centrally located. The staff was very nice. The stay would have been rated excellent however the air conditioner did not work very well in our room. I couldn’t get the temp at night below 73 which is too hot for me also you are given 2 towels and when I requested an extra it was never provided. The soap dispenser in the shower was broken and when I opened it to get soap out manually it was bone dry which means housekeeping was either not checking/cleaning thoroughly or saw it and did nothing about it. There was no other soap to use since everything is stuck to the walls so shampoo it was. They did repair it after I told the front desk. Lastly I recieved $30 in hotel.com credit and a $15 hotel poker chip credit per night and they did not provide the full credit to my account. It was only an extra $10 of charges but it’s the point. Don’t say you provide it and then not do it!

Roof top terrace and drink was excellent!

Only stayed one night before our cruise so we didn’t get to take advantage of all the offers. Hotel is perfectly located near pikes place as well as some of the cruise ports. Hotel was very clean and staff was great. We had a breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was amazing. We did use the rooftop bar because it was nice out and it has a great view. The room was a little small, and our view was a white brick wall with sayings on it.But no big deal.

The staff was helpful. Our room was not ready when it was supposed to be. They upgraded the room and gave us extra credit for the restaurant. The rooms are small but well furnished. The bathroom was a great upgrade but the glass partition to the shower need to be a little longer so water didn't splash out on the floor.

Exceptional

Everything we needed was available and an easy walk to things we wanted to see. We just wished we could have stayed longer. We had a room with no view but we weren’t in it that much and there’s a terrace on the 8th floor which was nice and we met a nice couple.

Convenient to local attractions

Great location...within walking distance to Pike Market and many local pubs and restaurants. Clean rooms. My biggest complaint is that the restaurant and bar on site were only open a few hours every day. When we were out exploring all day and wanted to come back for a nightcap or a quick bite, everything was closed. Also, staff was a bit stuffy...not very friendly.

Anne the manager runs an orderly operation with courtesy and professionalism. Her leadership is clearly demonstrated through her staff! The hotel is in an excellent location and delivers outstanding service!

The rooms are not humongous, but this is a downtown city hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. There will be street noise so if that will bug you bring earplugs, again downtown city hotel. There is a very small rooftop bar with very limited hours, but the views are out of this world, so bring a hoodie and go check it out. The restaurant is delicious and incredibly convenient so enjoy a breakfast or dinner here. My family and I all agree that we would definitely stay here again. The location absolutely cannot be beat. The convenience of the partnership with a nearby parking garage was very useful. And again, the staff at this hotel are above and beyond individuals that make you feel well taken care of.
