Courtyard by Marriott Secaucus Meadowlands

Bus 320 stops just outside and takes you to Manhattan and back for ten bucks. Free parking, good eating is walking distance, with a Walmart nearby also.

This was my first negative experience with a Marriott property. The hotel is extremely outdated and had an unpleasant odor throughout. Our room smelled strongly of urine, the toilet did not flush properly, and the air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a lawn mower running in the room. As a result, we barely slept. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard I expect from Marriott.

The only thing that I had issues with in room 403 was the marijuana smell that was coming from the AC vent. You can’t control that I guess but it’s supposed to be non smoking and it was awful every night. It actually made me sick one night. I don’t know if people smoke out back but that needs to be controlled more. Also the smell from the grease traps maybe from Outback on my last night there was so disgusting it was sickening.

Great location on bus route to NYC. Helpful staff. Water was like warm in shower and little pressure. No shuttle to airport.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Both times have been a great experience. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and it is close to many restaurants.

Everything was very clean. There was free parking in a parking garage behind the building. The shower had sliding glass door rather than a shower door. This prevented water from spilling onto the floor.

I highly recommend this hotel! I have 3 night stay here, the location is very nice and close to groceries, restaurants and highways. The staff at the reception desk is very friendly and welcoming. Parking is free and convenient. I’m impressed by the room, it’s big enough and comfortable.

Besides the cleanness and the politeness of the staff, the hotel need to improve in the parking area. A suggestion, offer breakfast free

Breakfast menu was not good, walls so thin my 10 year old is now asking about inappropriate sounds and noises, wallpaper falling off walls, and popcorn ceilings from 1999. There was also water stains on the ceilings. Absolutely not expected from a hotel that costed over $300 for one night

X everything was OK after they got my heater working in my room
