Kalandara Resort Lombok

Incredible property. Situated on top of a hill, overlooking the beach. The rooms are elegant and well maintained. The 2 bedroom stay has a beautiful infinity pool that is simply breathtaking. The staff is so courteous and professional. They provide you with a golf cart in case you don’t want to take the lift. Although the lift ride up is an experience of its own. Their breakfast is best I had in my time in Indonesia. The restaurant on the first floor has amazing views of its own. Overall, I simply can’t recommend this place enough. It is a stay one has to experience to truly appreciate it. Will definitely come back here There is nothing to not like.

You're on the hillside of a valley with fantastic views however, let's just say, the noise from below can get a bit much if you want a quiet holiday with the odd sleep in of a morning past 6am

Facilities was excelent, room properly prepared with anniversary decoration per request, the pool just nice and bed was comfy as cloud. Breakfast was also great although it was ala carte style. I wont forget the extraordinary view in the morning, just grear. The staff was very friendly and helpful and services was top notch. Overall i give 10/10 stay, would repeat in the future Nothing

From the moment, my family and I arrived we knew we booked the right place. The property was stunning and our villa perfect for our stay. The staff was exceptional and so warm and kind. They were so sweet with my baby as well. We had great spa treatments and were promptly picked up and dropped off for anywhere we wanted to go along Senggigi Beach. The food and drinks were also delicious. They updated the breakfast menu while we were there and my only regret was that I didn't get to try all of their new updates.

it’s a nice resort, staffs are super friendly. Restaurant is nice. 1. We booked a two-bedroom villa, but unfortunately the private pool was extremely dirty upon check-in — we could not even see the pool stairs clearly. The staff informed us it would take about one hour to clean; however, even after two days, the pool remained in the same condition. The staff members were very kind and made multiple attempts to clean it, but the issue was never resolved. They offered four hours of complimentary massage and allowed us to use another one-bedroom villa’s pool, which we appreciated, but this did not fully compensate for the inconvenience of not being able to use the pool in the villa we booked. 2. Additionally, when the staff member escorted us to our villa and showed us around, he entered both the villa and our bedroom wearing dirty shoes. I politely asked him to remove his shoes, but he did not do so and only apologized verbally. 3. Lastly, the villa was extremely noisy. There was loud singing coming from a nearby mosque that continued throughout the night without interruption. We understand that it was Ramadan and respect religious practices; however, the noise made it impossible for us to sleep. Although the hotel provided earplugs, we are traveling with a one-year-old baby who cannot use them. As a result, our baby was unable to sleep well during our stay. Overall, while we appreciate the friendliness of the staff, our experience was significantly affected by these issues.

The size of my villa is more than enough, I even have a private pool, food is delicious and fresh, service is amazing, the staff always carry a smile Service, comfortness of facility

I love the outdoor tram elevator because we got the spectacular view of the sea from the high hill. The villa was just perfect for us. We felt like honeymooners again. The highlight was of course when Kalandara surprised me with a birthday cake and the staff sang the birthday song for me at their restaurant without any prompt from my husband. We would like to give a special shoutout to the restaurant's waitress named Wulan who took great care of our daily needs and wants during breakfast time. We were also offered a daily complimentary takeout for our daily trip. We are seasoned travellers and Kalandara was the only place that gave us such royal treatment of packed food and fruits for our daily trips in Lombok. Thank you very much for the most pleasant, relaxing and memorable stay at Kalandara. We shall return soon.

The property is perfectly located to see an amazing panoramic view. It’s very clean well organize and super comfortable and convenient for guest. It’s really well maintained with gorgeous mature plants throughout the property. The only complaint was it wasn’t beachfront, but they take you directly to the beach and pick you up so it’s not really a complaint at all. In the end it’s worth the view.

Everything! Amazing villa overlooking the ocean. Stunning views and it lived up to all our expectations. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice. We were sad to leave (celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary) after our 3 night stay. Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat ?!! Loved Lombok and beats the crowds of Bali!! Nothing, everything was perfect!

Exceptional

Amazing views of the ocean and walking distance to the beach nearby. We loved the room combination of outdoor living and privacy. The staff is also very friendly. It was a very relaxing stay, highly recommend.

We had high expectations for Kalandara Resort, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to them. While the villas are stunning and the ocean views—especially from the higher units—are breathtaking (we weren’t so lucky as the hotel opposite blocked part of our view) the overall experience was far from 5-star. Our stay started poorly with an unclean bathroom, including a dirty light switch. Though housekeeping addressed it quickly, there was no compensation. Service and communication were major letdowns. From being locked out of the room to fogging that starter early to, a private event at the restaurant rendered it unusable due to loud music, yet no one informed us or offered alternatives. Staff were generally dismissive and unhelpful. Even basic requests, like ordering a bottle of wine, became unnecessarily complicated. On the bright side, the spa treatments were excellent—though the manicure chairs could use an upgrade for better comfort. Compared to the neighboring hotel—with its welcoming staff and outstanding food at The Kliff—Kalandara falls short in hospitality. No one even asked how our stay was at checkout. Beautiful setting, but poor management and lack of guest care make this resort one we wouldn’t recommend.

Beautiful destination! Do be careful of the monkeys during sunset! Keep your doors closed!

The whole set up of the room with the pool was incredible. Lots of thoughtful touches with a speaker, snacks and mini fridge etc. We appreciated the smooth check in process. The views from the pools were absolutely stunning and the room was very private. It didn’t seem like good value for money and we were particularly disappointed with the service and food when dining at the restaurant especially for the price. This included being told earlier that the full menu was still available on Christmas Day, as well as the overpriced BBQ buffet that they were offering, which disappointingly wasn’t the case and we would’ve organised to go elsewhere. Also the laundry service was extortionate compared to other places we have stayed, although we appreciate them double checking before processing. Despite the lovely room we would not return again.
