Staff: The communication with the owner on WhatsApp before the stay was exceptional! He arranged taxis for us, allowed a late check in and answered all queries promptly. On site staff: Ravi and Valhaddi ( spelling?) were delightful. We felt like family. Their attentiveness and care for us was exceptional. Thank you. ? Location: an easy and enjoyable 20 minute walk through a lovely forest road brought you right into Shimla and Mall Road. Cleanliness: exceptionally clean and daily service. Shower: oodles of hot water!! Toiletries: onsite and provided Wifi: excellent. Garden: lovely and peaceful. Breakfast: provided ( extra charge) and was served ontime. While breakfast was good and was provided with an extra charge, I would have preferred to have been given the option to pay a little more for the room and have breakfast be included. I didn’t like to have to factor in the unknown breakfast charge in my money allocations on the last day. But that’s my preference, others might feel differently. But this was a small issue. Overall property was exceptional. I knew the rooms did not have windows.

A beautiful old colonial style property about 15 mins walk away from the pedestrian area Mall Road, I’m Shimla. It’s a family run property and the team there were very helpful - it’s quickest to WhatsApp the owner as although the on-site staff were very helpful only 1 speaks English so quickest to WhatsApp Nothing

Lovely homestay in Shimla. We had read reviews that stated there was no view from the room so were not disappointed. Good size room, clean and comfortable. Garden was a bonus for breakfast but would be cold any earlier in the year. Good location - a 15 minute walk to the Mall. Staff really attentive. Breakfast menu was good and varied. Nothing.

Me and my partner booked this property for our weekend gateway to Shimla. This is a heritage property which is very tastefully done by the owner. Staying here was a wholesome experience, right from the support given over chat by owner when booking was done to warm welcome by the caretaker, home cooked food, and the whole experience of staying in the property itself. It's located in the quiet/serene part of Shimla, a pleasant 15-20min walk (Do take this walk - It's really beautiful to walk along the roads nestled by the deodar trees) to Mall Road. The rooms are spotlessly neat and clean, loaded with toiletries and all essential stuffs that you may need will already be there. Apart from that you have a lot of supporting staffs and a caretaker who is just one call away. They prepared amazing veg and non veg food for our stay and we enjoyed it a lot. Special mention to masala chai and kawa chai!! We will definitely be back here for longer stays. Thanks for making our stay memorable, exceeded our expectations! Nil

Very good food and great staff

Large comfortable room with heater available. Modern bathroom, very good shower. Delightful toiletries. Staff gracious, welcoming and helpful. Arranged taxi for us to and from the railway station. Quiet location but not far from The Mall. Good breakfast available. Associated restaurant on The Mall had good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Would be a bit of a walk to main pedestrianised area for anyone who was unfit.

This place is truly a gem. Tucked not so far away from the city yet you get to experience the peace that you seek. We stayed for 3 days. After a long tiring journey, we were welcomed by Mr.Ravi with Kahwa, exactly what we needed then. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All amenities provided are top-notch. The caretakers are just a call away and the food they provide will only leave you wanting more- masala chai is something that we still crave for.

This is a very well run place. Peaceful location and easy, mostly flat walk to town. Staff are helpful and the room and building are beautiful. Highly recommended.

Everything was simply perfect. So far the best place I have stayed at. The property and the rooms are so beautifully decorated. Anything you could need was available and if not, they made sure we got it. The staff and the chef are polite and always helpful. We were welcomed with a warm delicious cup of tea on arrival and everything from there on was truly an amazing experience. Food was delicious. Cleanliness was impeccable. The property is located very ideally. Nestled away from the crowds yet only a 10 minutes walk to the mall road. Leaving this place

What a beautiful place! Perfectly located a bit off the busy track of Shimla, quiet and peaceful. Fantastic food, the service couldn’t be better in a 5-star. Also try the restaurant at the MALL, which is connected! Not a complain, just a suggestion from a lover of heritage hotels: The „breakfast/lunch/dinner room“ doesn’t fit at all to the overall lovely atmosphere. And to have it outside in the (very nice) garden - it was to cold beginning of Oct.

A lovely old home with great shower and complimentary good quality soaps etc/fabulously comfy bed and wonderful homecooked but exceptional food.We would recommend this house to anyone who loves history and a beautiful garden to enjoy while having your meals.The walk to the Mall is very pleasant and easy and Shimla is such a clean smokefree environment with some fantastic shops.Grab some pashminas for a bargain and some delicious local fruit.You will definitely enjoy staying at Edgeworth as it is very serene and olde worldy.The staff are so attentive they make your stay enjoyable.It's a great place to relax and unwind. Everything was great.
