Great position, nice atmosphere, very nice staff. Some walls and doors are pretty old and a bit stained / moldy.
-
Rooms and hallways were well worn and in need of cleaning and maintenance

Hotel is old , shower was very weak but it did not bother us because we used onsen ( public bath ) . If you are princess and prince who can’t afford expensive hotels then don’t come , wait until you are reach enough to book another hotel instead of coming and complaining . For the money we paid this hotel was fine .

The room was dirty , old and everything was smelling mold . The toilet, the shower I couldn’t used it even at the restaurant some food was smelling mold .

We enjoyed what appeared to be a traditional Japanese breakfast offered buffet style. There were many offerings and we enjoyed sampling many of the items. While the hotel was older, it had plenty of traditional character. We had a water view and enjoyed listening to the waves rolling in. My son complained about the futon being too hard. Mine was fine.

Fifty feet from the water on a beautiful cove. Excellent staff.

We stayed half board (breakfast and dinner) for three nights at this hotel. Our room (602) had an amazing view over the little inlet and is big and very comfortable. There is a kettle and fridge in the room and towels are provided each morning. There are laundry facilities in the basement (200yen) and free electric bicycles for guests to use. Meals are buffet and there is plenty of different options especially if you like fish, however, vegetarian options are limited (rice, eggs, tempura, bread) and none of the options changed during our stay. There is free drinks (beer, sake, fizzy drinks) with meals. You can rent paddle boards or its a short walk to a lovely small, sandy beach for swimming. I really liked the location on the little bay and the town is nearby for shops and restaurants. Taxi from the train station was 700yen. Could be more options at dinner, but mealtimes in the hotel buffet are a very traditional Japanese experience. Some of the hotel areas would benefit from a fresh coat of paint.

Let me say from the outset, this property is getting on but for us, that was part of the charm. The staff were lovely, very helpful & nice We loved our room & the amazing view, out to the bay. The balcony was great, room was huge, onsen was the icing on the cake. Indoor & outdoor baths! Just wonderful & restful after a week in Tokyo. The walk from the station was a bit of a hike but we enjoyed it, getting a good look around. On check out though, the staff rang a taxi for us to head back to the station. Fare was reasonable, quick ride back. The food at dinner & breakfast was plentiful, lots of variety, tasty. We loved it and it saved thinking about heading out to find meals. We loved wearing our yukatas to dinner! Plenty of drink options, including beer, saki etc. The electric bikes were brilliant. In 3 hours of free hire, we had a huge time sightseeing! This was an excellent facility. Sure, there's some peeling paint, some wear & tear, but it is an older property & for us, it was a delightful stay made even better with a lovely team at the front desk. All in all, we thought it was great value for what we paid. There was nothing that detracted from our enjoyable stay here. Is it past its prime? Maybe. Did that bother us? Not at all, we loved it!

food not enough

location and balcony with a view were amazing. very good breakfast, great onsen and truly polite staff. the staff wearing masks and plastic gloves at the breakfast venue looks ridiculous.
-
Good location. Room was spacious with good view. Pleasant staff. Reasonable value overall. The hotel premises is very dated and a bit tired but overall on balance I think it was good value for the price. No tattoos allowed in public bath. Move with the times japan

I like the dinner buffet the most with free drinks The hotel is a bit old and smelly

The staff are very helpful and the location of the hotel was very near to the beach and surrounding is very nice. Just a suggestion to add different menu for the buffet everyday to have more variety of food to choose from. Specially for guests who are staying longer in the hotel. We had the same menu for 3days of stay.
