One of the best Eggs Benedict that I have had.

The location is excellent. Shrewsbury is a pleasant town. We were very disappointed in the St. Nicholas Boutique Hotel which is located in a remodeled church in the pleasant town of Shrewsbury. Although we had hoped to eat in the restaurant, it was closed for dinner (despite online signs to the contrary) and the sole staff member left for the evening - although he said we could call him if we had problems. Thus, it is not hotel, but an Air B&B, without the second B. Rooms were clean, but poorly planned and indifferently renovated. The toilet seat was detached, for example, and little to no thought had been given to installing the shower so that it did not intrude into the rest of the bathroom. Water for the shower was activated by pulling an unmarked string; no instructions provided. We cannot recommend the hotel.

The property is beautiful. Our room was large and comfortably furnished with kettle and refrigerator. The location was perfect. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The best thing about the St. Nicholas was the staff. The staff were absolutely outstanding. So friendly and helpful. The owner Ash was the BEST. Would stay there again and again.

Hotel is spotless Upper floors have beautiful round stained glass windows. Fridge in room is convenient. Bed and pillows very comfortable. I couldn.t figure out TV. No front desk. After hours staff avail via phone. Staff were not avail via Whats App, so I couln t reach them (US guest). Room not made up upon return after day out and about. Once this brought to staff's attention, they quickly and graciously rectified issues.

Amazing staff and a huge room with the most comfy bed ever! Not to mention the location is literally perfect.

Stayed here last night due to work commitments. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Was really pleased with the bedroom, spacious, clean, comfy with everything I needed - a hairdryer, plugs by the bed. I ate in the restaurant last night and the menu is turkish which I was really pleased with and my meal was delicious. I had to leave for work earlier than the restaurant opened this morning and they were still able to do me a quick breakfast before I left, which I really appreciated. Didn't love that there wasn't an attached car park (as the hotel is in the centre of town), but their page clearly suggests a parking location which was £6.60 for 24 hours parking which I thought was good..

Beautiful location, historic building, very comfortable bed, and nice bedding. Super friendly staff. Good breakfast, excellent coffee. The towel warmer didn't work.

Interesting location! (former 17th century church) Room was unusually large. Good beds. Stairs look intimidating for luggage, but there's a lift. Good location near train station. Pub downstairs had good atmosphere and good food (no noise). Staff was amazingly helpful when my wife had to go to the hospital (understanding, late checkout and luggage storage). Room "King James II" No free breakfast. Had a basic couch at end of beds, but could use some really comfortable chairs. Also could use a larger table. Door lock is ancient and not secure. Price a little high, given the furnishings.

We loved the location (walkable to everywhere we wanted to be) and Ryan was an exceptional host. We were able to arrange late check-in, recommendations were great, breakfast was tasty and they stored our luggage so we could walk around town. We only wish we could have stayed two nights and had longer in Shrewsbury.

The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful. They even washed my laundry at the hotel and placed it in my room. No negatives

Perfect location for visiting the local sites. The staff is outstanding, so willing to go the extra mile. The bed was comfortable and the room very spacious. Fun to be in a renovated old church. The restaurant was great. The traffic noise is annoying.

Wonderful sized room. The bathroom was as big as a whole premier inn room around the corner and it was lower cost at St Nicholas than a Premier inn. Staff were great, kept in touch to ensure someone was there on our arrival. The bedrooms were unique, well designed and fitting for a unique old building steeped in history. There was nothing to dislike.
