Courtyard by Marriott Silver Spring North/White Oak

Overall my stay was good. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff were very nice. I was pleased from that standpoint. There is a charge of 30 per day ( not a problem ) for parking . I’m not sure why because this is not covered parking ( like garage). However, I did check out 1 day early but still charged for parking?. Only minor problems, shower dripped. Not sure what was going on with the shower doors, but when you showered water was not contained to the shower. Water was everywhere on the floor. So with minor judgments ( I showered closer to the wall ). No more water on the floor. Again, really not a bad stay. I would recommend.

The room was nice... clean. The vanity was tiny and there were no shelves to place our toiletry bags or items, so we had to store them on the floor. The ice machine was broken on our floor, so fwe had to make several trips to another floor to fill our ice chest. There was a restaurant on sight, but no complimentary breakfast. That part was our fault for overlooking it when we booked. We will not stay at a Courtyard again.

N/A The television needs to be replace or repaired. The color was awful. The people looked like they were gray and shiny. Our room was at the end of the hall on the third floor, and we could hear staff when they entered the room, especially early in the morning. The carpet needs to be thoroughly vacuumed at least before guests arrived. It was hard putting the safety lock on the door. It kept jamming.

My biggest complaint was the shortage of ice machine available. On my floor (3) there was no ice machine at all. My wife and family did not care for the extremely firm beds. I had no probably with the bed. I have back problems, but sleeping on the firm mattress did not aggravate those problems. Overall I did not have any big complaints of my stay.

Very clean, staff very friendly. Good location. Kids from sports teams, (perhaps elite teams in tournaments?). Running up and down halls at least until 11 pm. One kept knocking on my door in the evening and morning. I can get more quiet in a cheap Motel 6 filled with drug addicts.
