Great place yo stay in Sofia (as long, as they have rooms with bathtubs)

Good price, swimming pool, room eith bathtub (unfortunately, less and less common)

The swimming pool is good, the location is next to the central bus and train station. Lots of people coming and going in the wee hours of the night. I was in the old rooms with zero air conditioning, the beds were not very comfortable.

Absolutely nothing. I have travelled a lot and I have seen many hotels. But this one was by far the worst hotel I have ever seen. The hotel is a disgrace for the Ramada brand. The staff is rude, not helpful, the hotel is dirty, stinks, falls apart, no working airco, there was a mobile airco unit in the room which didnt cool enough and made a lot of noise. When i opened the window it couldnt be closed, also broken. The toilet was broken too, it didn't flush and when I asked reception to send someone, he didnt even care to ask for our room number. So consequently the toilet wasnt fixed at all. We were happy to leave the next day. Waste of my money. I will also write a complaint letter to Ramada.

The facilities outdated. There was no air conditioning. I was lucky the weather wasn’t too hot. Otherwise it would be awful.

Room was in the intensive and very noisy tram side.

Nothing I went there it was no AC in the building , and very old room doesn’t look like the photos , they offered me free cancellation at the check in point with fully refund , because it’s there problem , and unfortunately I received less than the money that i paid ! So it’s not fully refund + they charged me few Euros for City tax and also didn’t recieved it . And there is nothing I can do.

The staff were helpful and informative, the breakfast was good, the coffee and juices were all tasty and easy to access, there were good cold options but the warm options felt a little restricted. There were renovations going on but we were on a high floor so noise was non existent. Parking was easy to reach. It is a tired hotel and it is showing its age. Some of the room falicities could do with a renovation. Toilet flushing tank was damaged but operational for our stay. Warm breakfast options could do with a refresh. Paid parking seems quite expensive for what it is, but at least it is easy to access. There were only one or two Bulgarian speaking staff at breakfast and we got asked multiple times what our room number is.

The hotel staff.. easy to check in.. change rooms. Breakfast was so wonderful. I just couldn't get out and walk around, its in location where alot of city life is going. Great location

The connected spa is convenient. A/C wasnt working the whole time. The facility is old.

There was very little I liked about the hotel except that it was a big brand and as such had certain predictable features such as a reasonable breakfast with numerous options and standard comfortable rooms. The location was not great. It was near the bus stations but it took us almost half an hour to walk to the meeting point for our tour or to any museum etc. Housekeeping seem to think cleaning a room was optional. When we checked in there was no toilet paper. Then the rest of the days they just emptied the bin and replaced a few things, without cleaning. I asked for new towels and waited for a hour and complained and then they gave me two bathrobes. I mentioned to reception that I need towels, not bathrobes, and she said that a bathrobe was just as good. I told her that a large bathrobe is hard to use for a small child. She told me that the people that clean the towels don't supply new ones straight away. I enquired about day tours and mentioned two places I wanted to go. The guy who was suppose to help me just kept on saying that they are the main attractions without offering any other information so I got tired of asking for tours and how to see them and walked away. Bulgaria has not got much to see and do compared to other cheap countries and for what they have to offer, they charge too much. The country is in a bad state of repair. Many children's parks had rusted swings etc. that should have been removed a long time ago. Some of the archaeological sites outside Sofia like this fortress in Pernik had grass that was waist high and towers that had rusted away and you were risking your life climbing them. The tour companies that seemed to be a secret to whoever you asked including hotels and tourist office. The big one was Traventuria which was a bad version of Ryan air. It was cheap but almost nothing was included. There was no hotel pick up and no entrance fees were included. The tour guides did not enter the site with you. Their knowledge was limited. When you are booking, you had to go through a long list of extras such as a baby/child seat that was not available anyway. The hotel industry needs to lobby the government to change all this.

AC was not working, and when asked for some alternatives, staff advised me to open the window & sleep. What ??

Location is good We visited the same hotel last year. There was renovation on some floors and we were given an old room with very bad bed that we felt all the bed springs that made our sleeping very uncomfortable. We asked a new room this year and the receptionist changed our double room reservation to business class as a favour. It appeared that he lied and gave us an old twin room with two very old bad bed.. I don’t know how they still have such acceptable rank. Their downstairs parking area is always full and we took a tricky road to reach the outside parking area that they charge 15 euro. We checked out and we wanted to visit the restroom beside the lobby. They were locked and could be opened only with room card. Which hotel makes it? Although we paid the parking ticket and showed the receipt to the concierge to open the parking gate, he said he doesn’t know, let’s check from the reception first. How can a concierge treat their guest like a lier?

Location was good and the room was clean. Asked the Front desk to come and help me with the TV but noone came.
