Hotel Adria

The staff was great - so helpful with arranging taxis to and from the airport. Also in general, the staff was very responsive and pleasant. The location is slightly outside of the historic district but very walkable to everything. We found the price being outside of the main area very attractive -- and the walk was pleasant. The shower door seal was broken and so some water would leak out onto the bathroom floor. It was nothing an extra towel on the floor could not fix.

Breakfast is served à la carte rather than as a buffet, and I personally prefer a buffet-style breakfast.

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Strong flow shower ! None. I reported the broken shower door though. No biggie.

Slow Internet (sooo slow)...We're in Bulgaria where Internet is cheap and crazy fast...why only 20?

There was a confusion in regards to the parking

Very good hotel in a great location near the center. Clean and comfortable room with an elevator. Team is attentive and welcoming. To be picky, the price of parking - it's 30 lev per day.

It was an apartment that seems to have been recently renovated. Very clean, marble floors, large bedroom with comfortable queen sized bed. Second bed was in living room. Full kitchen facilities. Had a simple gym but it had some free weights and a treadmill which were fine for a simple workout. Would not hesitate to stay there again. The second bed was a bit small for two people so the sleeping arrangements may be better for three people although it worked well enough for our family of four. Could have used a microwave. Only real issue was water in shower was extremely hot, the cold water didn’t seem to work and they didn’t send anyone to fix it even though we asked. We adjusted the water temperature in the water heater and after that were able to shower. It is a decent location but a bit of a walk from the nicer markets and area with better shops and restaurants.

There was parking of the hotel no body tells y about it and i think they use it only for their selfs ... but we didnt know about it... and we had to pay as they told us from booking

Staff that duty on night was very helpful. She let us waiting on the hotel while waiting our delayed night bus departure time and helped to order taxi

They didn't give any daily complimentary bottled water. You have to buy from them.

Breakfast did not show great variety, but still it was of good quality. The room was not soundproof. The noise coming from the adjacent room was perfectly audible.

It was clean. They accepted check-ins after midnight. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The shower cabin let water out and the rest of the floor got wet. The towels could have been cleaner and could have smelled better. But overall, everything else was nice and comfortable.

Quite far from true city center though near to bus station. It is supposedly new hotel but furniture is worn out and bathroom fixtures bit rusty The heating/cooling unit didn't work. it was zero degree outside and too hot inside. the front desk supposedly turned it off (they were not able to explain how it works- centrally/individual room unit) and told me keep balcony door open (!). which i had to for the 6 nights i stayed there Breakfast is ordinary and charge 10 euro for it. They don't give you any water - not even one bottle when you arrive - you have to purchase it and water cooler is only for breakfast (the staff told me not to fill in water!!) In this trip I travelled 10 countries - rich and poor - and EVERY hotel gives water or rather most of them had a water cooler so you could refill and save plastic. Standard room is quite tiny - good only for 1 person, not two. It is non-smoking hotel but I could smell cigarette (the balcony had ash tray so clearly some guests smoked inside) Wi-fi in the room is very slow. They did allow me to check-in as soon as the room was ready - I had arrived early in the morning (but had to pay for the coffee!) Lot of things. see above.
