Hotel La Badia

The only downside was the fact that the hotel is up on the hill and the path back to the hotel is not very well lit at night, so it felt a little secluded.

Views, quiet, cleanliness and excellent & welcoming staff

Everyone was very kind. Amazing views and location. Great breakfast. Absolutely would love to come back. The walk to downtown sorrento is about 10-15 min and it is steep coming back up but the hotel can help with guidance for taxis or the bus if a walk is difficult for visitors.

Another wonderful experience as we traveled throughout Italy this summer. I hope to go back to La Badia sometime in the future on another family trip or even a girls get-a-way.

The location was beautiful, incredible views of the bay, and even Vesuvius on the other side. Both the reception staff as well as the breakfast attendants were amazing. I absolutely love this place, and would definitely recommend it. The only reason I'm giving it a 9/10 is that not even the shutters together with the blackout curtains could keep the sun out in the morning, and it was very very bright (for my liking) from early morning. On the other hand, good motivation to wake up early and seize the day!

Pocos enchufes en la pieza para cargar celular. Queríamos una cama queen/king y nos juntaron dos camas de plaza y media para hacer una grande.

The location is stunning The hotel is a bit far from center town

The property itself is very pretty, Italian villa vibes and the views from our room were spectacular. It was a little far from the city center but still walkable just a hike up the hill which I didn’t mind but someone who is older may not be able to do it. Also, the pillows in the room need updating as well as the blow dryer. I’ve actually never seen a blow dryer like the one in our room. Another thing, we came in from a long excursion the night before we were checking out and the minute we walked in the receptionist wanted us to “check out” and said because tomorrow morning would be busy. We thought that was very rude. We told her we would be back once we were settled which we did not and waited until the morning of our departure to in fact check out and it took all but 2 minutes and it was not busy at all so that was a little unsettling but other than that everything else was great. Also, if you request a tax/car service from the airport make sure you tell them you want to pay with a credit card. When we arrived they were telling us it wash cash only but we didn’t have enough cash so the next day I asked to please let us pay with card and now there was a different receptionist and she called the company and they miraculously now we’re able to take credit card.

The front desk and the views were the best parts of this stay. The ladies at the front desk took the best care of us, always greeted us with a smile, arranged dinner reservations, called us cars to get back and forth and packed us breakfast the day of our departure because we left early. Also the breakfast was wonderful. We had cappuccinos and warm pastries every day. My room was large and looked clean but it smelled so musty. The walls were wavy as if they painted over something. When I arrived I noticed the bedspread was soiled so I went to the front desk and it was handled quickly but zero apologies for the inconvenience and it was as if I was complaining. One day I moved my makeup bag I had on the bathroom sink and found a bug. The bed was hard and I never felt comfortable in that room. There was no makeup mirror and the iron/ironing board was shared.

The staff was so kind. The rooms were great size, amazing view, bar was peaceful, pool was amazing. Breakfast was great. Ubers/cabs were expensive (not hotels fault), the shortcut walk to town helped.

We loved the walk to town. Not for the faint of heart but if you like burning your calories as you eat your way through Italy you will appreciate the workout retuning back to the hotel. Friendly staff. Drinks by the pool and beautiful view. Extremely clean rooms and comfy beds. 10/10 Food could be better.
