Charging $15/nite for parking was ridiculous!

By far the best of the cluster of hotels serving the PWM trade, not the most expensive, it has a proper restaurant and a 24 hour shuttle where others have omitted hours.

Overall good. Downsides were lack of staffing, long wait times at the front desk, loud air conditioning.

Had to pay $16.20 to park in a large hotel owned parking lot that was free 2 years ago. This was after having to pay over $300 before taxes. The 2 Reception staff were on both on the phone at check-in while customers had to wait to check in. When I eventually did check in, I was not given the breakfast tickets for which I had paid in advance. Reception clerk also did not inform me how to get to my room. The elevator started at floor 2. My room, one the first floor ( turns out lobby level) was up a ramp that was not easily available from the registration desk. Had to go back to the clerk to find out where my room was. Room was clean. Rug had ragged parts. Shower spray cord did not work. Coffee supplies only had one 1/2-1/2 creamer for 2 guests when 4 would have been the correct number. Dinner at their restaurant was fine but the kitchen was very slow. Breakfast was a disaster. Restaurant was not full. Got coffee quickly. Didn’t get water until 45 minutes later after getting an empty glasses. Kitchen was Very, very slow. Waitress who took our order was almost invisible. Second waitress who eventually brought our food only gave us water when I mentioned that we were waiting for it for 45 minutes. Same waitress came 10 minutes later to give us someone else’s order while we were already eating our food .People sitting behind us also complained. It is clear that everything is broken at the Sheraton at Sable Oaks.

My room was lovely. The bed was perfect for a good night's rest. The place was immaculate and well maintained. I was thrilled to be able to use the pool early in the morning for my water walking. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly. This is my "go to" hotel when I go to Portland, ME.

There were only 2 of everything (towels) in the bathroom. Most cheaper hotels woul supply 4, at least. Also, the evening meal at the restaurant, while very good, took 40 - 50 minutes to arrive, with no explanation.

Only stayed for one night, didn't see all that this hotel offered.

He referred me to the parking company to resolve the issue. Leaving it up to the parking company to determine whether I get free parking - doesn't make sense. Sheraton's lazy approach to customer service surprised me for such a respected company. For the $300/night I paid for this property I would expect a higher level of responsibility. The parking charges have still not been reversed.

Upon entering the first room assigned, we immediately noticed the room was unclean. The shower curtain had what appeared to be bodily residue, the bathtub would not drain, the television volume did not work, and the entire floor had an overwhelming odor that resembled a dead animal or worse. The smell alone made the room unbearable. After reporting the issues, we were moved. Unfortunately, this room was no better. The bathtub had a thick black ring of dirt around the entire tub, the bathroom was dirty, there was hair throughout the sink, and the bench had what appeared to be the outline of someone’s body with oily residue left behind. Overall, the room was filthy and clearly had not been properly cleaned. A staff member came to clean the room, but he was unable to remove the buildup from the bathtub and sink because the cleaning supplies available were ineffective. We contacted the front desk again to explain that the room was still unacceptable. The only resolution offered was to move us to yet another room and provide a $40 breakfast credit. By this point, our evening had been completely disrupted. I missed my birthday dinner because we spent our time dealing with multiple room changes and unsanitary conditions instead of enjoying our celebration.

Restaurant was okay. We did go an hour before closing but I guess the chef had a bad day. Food was burnt. Still I ate it. Wasn’t that bad but I feel for the guy! Other than that nice hotel. Room was cold when I got there. 4/5 experience
