Holiday Inn Express Malta by IHG

The staff at breakfast was the highlight of my stay. They are a truly lovely group. Really made the difference waking up to such friendly smiles. Not ideal for a work trip. Music until 4am.

good enough breakfast, choice of indoor and outdoor; twin room plus sofa was very good for two tall people and luggage; laundry service impeccable; frequent room service even if not necessary wifi could be a little stronger; the pool at the intercontinental was ok but the indoor pool surrounding area was not very clean on the tiles but good value especially the outdoor pool area was good.

Clean, decent breakfast but not up the the holiday in standard we have had around the globe The clubs below are insanely loud. We could not sleep the whole time, this place should come with a warning.

Center location. Very clean, friendly stuff Check in was very slow. had to wait 6 hours for my room as the room cleaning was not prioritized. Street facing rooms are very noisy till 4am in the morning. Had to use ear plugs. The pool and SPA on the next door hotel and are with additional cost (20Euro)

The breakfast is great, but can be improved. Also the visibility of the signs of the hotel are a bit hidden from immediate view. Security could be improved at the entrance.

Clean. Helpful stuff. No amenities (room fridge, pool, spa etc). No 24/7 concierge.

The staff! All the people in hotel (reception, cafeteria, bar, floor staff) was just amazing. One of the best quality of service.

Location is very close to beach, bars, opposite the shopping mall. Outdoor and indoor pool was paid but for very good price at connected hotel. We love it. The only thing is that area is very busy and noisy at evening/night, but it is the location right in the center of everything so if you want party no problema at all ?. We were with child and consider it as not a big deal as well.

The hotel is rather new, it looks fine on the outside, the matresses are ok, the bathroom size ok, typical hotel room. The stay in general is bad, the hotel is very noisy. If you get a room at higher floors (like 7th, for example), starting with 6 am, you can hear all noises from the upper 8th floor, which is the breakfast area. I dont know what those people are doing there, but you can absolutely have no sleep after 6 am. They are moving tables, or chairs, or some furniture almost every minute. It is annoying and ruins your vacation. The breakfast is one of the worst I had at 3*. It is more likely a 1-2* breakfast. If you can think of the worst quality products, those are here. I have never seen before an omlette mixed together with eggs whites, for making it cheaper. The yougurt is very bad in taste, the meat options are very bad as well, except for maybe the milano salami... Rotten tomatoes ..Everything is at its lowest price, this corporation of hotels, IHG, is trying to get all your possible cents, the feeling is everything cheap. The plates are small, so you dont put much food :)) Also, the personnel is taking your plates from in front of you, WHILE you eat. The TV is working only when it wants to. Sometimes, it does not connect to the network, so nothing will work. Also, you cannot cast from your phone (Netflix, etc). When I arrived, because of the fact that the last day we were leaving early, and we arrived early, I asked if we can take the breakfast then, instead of the last day, but they insisted we could not, because it was not included, and they will pack the breakfast for us in the last day. Of course they did not pack anything... But anyway, we did not know at that time that the breakfast was so poor, so it was not a big loss, but they could of been more flexible, there is no vision in running this hotel. Too bad because of good location if you want to party. The pillows are another chapter to tell, we basically had almost no sleep because of these hard and weird pillows. No matter what you do and how you sleep, you wake up with a headache because of these pillows.

Hotel like any other holiday inn hotel. However the staff, exceptional!!! ? and the location is perfect for these who visit the island to party.

The location of the hotel is in the dead center of the party place, so if you want to go clubbing it is very convenient. As there was no refrigeration in the room and we needed to keep our medicines cool, the staff was kind enough to put it in the staff refrigerator. Also we loved the swimming pool and sauna experience.
