I was not prepared for the $50 parking. That was an unexpected expense since I already paid so much for the room and nothing was open since it was a Sunday.

Hotel is close to St.Louis University. It has comfortable beds. I appreciate the full refrigerator in the room. The best breakfast that is included in the cost of the room. Chef preparing delicious pancakes and frittatas, along with yogurt bar, nice selection of fruit. Muffins, cereal, bagels, sausage, assorted juices, milk, coffee etc.

The new valet service has increased to $45 a night plus service fee and takes an unusually long time to get your vehicle. This is our 7th stay at the Element but we will not be returning.

Perfect all around spot. Great location for wherever you need to get to.

The staff was amazing!! Always kind and helpful!!

The location was great, very cozy, helpful staff and fun restaurant. Loved that it was puppy friendly! The pool is not heated. And then if you’re only going to offer valet with no other parking options, you shouldn’t have to pay for valet besides tipping . I would have happily parked somewhere and walked instead of paying an extra hundred dollars for parking on top of my stay.

Exceptional

The listing said 28 for parking when it was 45 in actuality for valet or self, staff was rude when we checked in and housekeeping didn't knock. Clean and reasonably nice otherwise

Terrible service

The hotel was very busy. The staff experienced computer and house keeping delays. The front desk manager did an excellent job working to get people through while under pressure. The valets were very quick and courteous!! Breakfast was delicious. I just wish it had a hot tub. ;-) and that it would accept cash payments.

Vallet parking Check in took a half hour, Stains on the couch, main bed hard as rocks, staff lied about breakfast time and we missed it.

Hotel room was nice and clean when we got there. The location was nice and convenient with a store across the street. However some of the hotel staff were not unprofessional and not helpful at all. A request for room service of our room was made on the second day; front desk staff was contacted early morning and stated they’d put in a request to offer room service cleaning for us. We did not hear back from them for hours so we contacted the front desk again in the afternoon. The manager, Janel, was very argumentative over the phone when we contacted them from the hotel room’s phone about never receiving room service at all. Instead of providing us with an alternative solution to our request, she continued to argue over the phone and when being asked at the front desk of the issue. There has been previous complaints about Janel’s professionalism in the past and I’d advise anyone looking to stay at this hotel to be cautious of upper management and some of the services. However, most other staff at the hotel were very nice and very professional.

The location is perfect if you’re going to the city winery or anything at the foundry. The staff were amazing from the valet to the front desk staff for check-in and check out. Helpful and friendly and great attitudes overall. I love that there is a refrigerator and a microwave and the bed was comfortable. I thought the room was definitely overpriced for how basic it is. It took a VERY long time for the water in the bathroom sink to heat up, which was annoying. The pillows were awful, way too soft, which is definitely not good for sleeping posture. The room was freezing, I tried to turn the air down and it would not go down, so I finally ended up turning the heat on because even when I turned it off, it was still freezing in the room. It took several tries for me to get the streaming to work on the TV, which was also an inconvenience.

Nice staff, great location, good breakfast The pool was not full and had so much chlorine in it we couldn’t swim.

Love the property comfort
-
Loved the patio and pool. The room was very spacious and clean. The rooftop bar had beautiful views Ended up being charged twice for the room. It was eventually refunded but not a fun experience
-
Very good
-
3rd floor was decent.
-
The 5th floor has a filthy carpet that has the hallway smelling like funky feet, the room door was broken, the bathroom wall had some nasty splatter all over it, and there was human and dog hair everywhere.
-
Only issue was not hot water
