We loved the swimming pool and how deep it was. Rooms were large and clean.

A trip to the Chase is always a lovely trip

staff did not clean out the room service dishes from the night before and left them in the room

We loved our stay at the Royal Sonesta. We booked it based mostly on the pool, which was amazing. We were mildly disappointed in our room, mostly because the bathroom was very small (smaller than most average hotel rooms) but overall it was very clean and well kept. Our only other note was that it would have been nice if the pool stayed open a little later in the evenings—8pm seemed on the early side.

2. The pool was a thrill and I thought "the best $25 (resort fee) I ever spent. 3. We were given a coupon for two free drinks in the bar, and got two glasses of wine - filled to the top - I have never seen any place fill a wine glass to the top! 4. The room was a suite, and huge, and they gave us the 9th floor looking south. I could sit on the couch and look out over Forest Park. 5. The bed was super comfortable. 6. We considered the Indigo and another, but for the night we wanted the rate was only maybe $50 more a night, so we splurged for this. 7. On the first floor there is a hallway through the residential building north of this, out to Maryland Place, a fun area to walk, and a guard sits at that door who can sort of watch your car. 8. The business center is just one computer and printer beyond the check in counter and one has to stand to use it, but that was ok. 9. A new building is being constructed across the street to the south, and there is a very low rumble of noise starting around 6:30 a.m., so do be aware of that if you want to sleep later, but it was a very low and distant sound, and only when a truck came in or something, I almost had to strain to hear it. 10. This is one of the Historic Hotels of America, and you can save 15% on the Sonesta website by joining that, but then the rate is the same as on Expedia

Beautiful hotel in a great location! The pool was beautiful! The staff was amazing! Parking was extremely easy, which I was worried about in St. Louis! We didn’t have time to see a movie, but thought it was so cool having a theater in the hotel! Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel and amenities. Wonderful housekeeping. The gentlemen who checked us in was great. Unfortunately, we had a poor interaction with a member of the staff. My family member wanted to find a microwave because our room only had a minifridge. She went to ask the concierge. The concierge said the microwaves were only for hotel guests… in a rather mean way. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day but it was rude and her tone was unnecessary. In the future kindly asking if someone is a guest or for their room number be would more appropriate.

Poorly maintained.

Love the movie theater in the lobby.
-
This is a classic hotel in St. Louis, we had a nice stay and good service, I would say it could use a little updating, especially in the bathrooms.
-
The pool was amazing. Could have been a little better maintained with people leaving garbage around but overall very nice.
