Avalon Hotel Downtown St. Petersburg

This is very much a boutique hotel. The rooms are nice but small. The amenities are at the related hotel across the parking lot. The restaurant is very good for breakfast and reasonable. Staff was vey friendly and accommodating. The location is great. We would definitely stay again.

It was a good stay

Overall room was clean. But it had an odd smell to it. Not sure if it was the cleaning products or something else. I had to move my car three times because parking is extremely minimal (they share with sister property next door). Front desk wasn’t helpful in that regard. They do have free water bottles at least. Gym was insanely tiny. Didn’t use. Light was flickering in the bathroom. Won’t stay again.

Very overrated, old hotel with tiny room and extremely small bathroom with smell of old rotten wood .

The Avalon hotel was very nice, it's an old historic building with some great decor, very unuiqe. Staff was very freindly and very helpful. Hotel is conveinant to a lot of places in St Pet and they also have a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up around town. We will be back to stay here for sure !

We've stayed at the Avalon a couple of times. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

We really liked this hotel. The location was perfect for walking where we wanted to go. The parking was easy for us but I could see how it could possibly not be for others coming in later at night. The staff was helpful and kind. We loved the wine happy hour. Late check out was amazing and appreciated. The only downfall I could suggest is we didn’t have a mini fridge in our room. That would have helped a lot. We had bottled water and leftovers that spoiled so side note bring a cooler with you. Overall it was a good stay!

So the room was really small, very cute but small. So we spent time in the cool lobby, or on the patio out front. Very comfy and cozy. Enjoyed the included cocktail hour and used the facilities including the pool at the adjacent sister property. Walking distance to the night life and pier made for a convenient and comfortable walk. Best part was a short 15min drive to Pass-a-grille Beach. That beach was amazing, somehow it avoided the rain by the hotel and though we could see the clouds and hear the thunder, it never rained on the beach. Weirdest and coolest thing during 4th of July weekend.

Hotel was great but it smelled like smoke. They got me a new room immediately. Everything else was good.

I was recommended by a co-worker to stay at the Avalon Hotel and I am 100% happy with the decision to do so. I stayed in one of the one bedroom suites and it was so clean, cozy and close enough to most places downtown to walk to and great restaurant attached to the Avalon, coffee shop and other great amenities! I will be back to stay again.

Excellent location, the room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Guests can use the amenities of the Hollander Hotel that it’s next to it, including a restaurant and a coffee shop with delicious pastries that are very good. Water bottles are complimentary all the time. There is a trolley around the city that stops there.

Such an awesome place to stay at. Loved everything about it. The retro style of everything was my favorite. The pool and bar was awesome. Got to sit at the pool bar and order amazing food was a plus. Everything was lovely.. No complaints.

There was a strange smell in the room, perhaps a harsh cleaner. Other than that, everything was great. It's a stylish property in a convenient location.

The AC in the kitchen part of The suite that we had didn't work right. could not get the room to cool down.. the TV remote the back cover the batteries kept falling out there was no cover on it! the swimming pool really seemed like it needed chlorine it seemed like it needed to be clean other than that everything was great love the location
