Had to wait longer for my room to finish cleaning upon check-in. Other than that, great experience

Great Hotel - had some issues with the front desk that were taken care of 3 days later. Very Clean, well located but Im not crazy about the property.

We arrived late after a day of travel to find that the hotel had no room for us, despite the fact that I had reserved and prepaid six months in advance. They tried to blame it on Expedia overbooking. Hyatt clearly needs to fix their system. Very disappointing, frustrating, and simply unacceptable.

We stayed at Hyatt Place Downtown St. Petersburg with our 4-month-old baby and spent the night in a room that would not cool properly. We returned around 11:30 PM and found the room hot and uncomfortable. We spent hours trying to get the temperature down, but it never became comfortable enough for sleep. What made the situation worse was the response afterward. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience of spending the night in a hot room with an infant, management focused on defending the hotel and explaining that the A/C appeared to be working when inspected the next day. What happened the next day does not change what we experienced during the only night of our stay. Stephen Witts showed very little empathy or accountability. His response felt dismissive and focused on protecting the property’s position rather than addressing the fact that paying guests were unable to sleep comfortably. The front desk experience with Michael was equally disappointing. We did not feel our concerns were taken seriously, and there was no genuine effort to make things right. We paid for a comfortable hotel room and received a sleepless, stressful night instead. The lack of customer service, accountability, and concern for guest satisfaction was shocking. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting Hyatt-level service.

Upon check in there was one 2 spots for guest parking. 1 for compact and 1 regular car. I was lucky there was a spot. I went inside to check in. Forgot the lady at the front desk but she was colored and she was checking me. 3 times went to use my credit card for incidentals and machines was not working. I got fed up and then said to her can he check me in. Perry checked me in. No problem. Then when I was done I was like oh what about parking. He then gave me the parking permit for car and told me me how it works. Don't you think you would have mentioned that. The other lady just stood there miserable looking like she didnt want to be there. The front desk was not happy to be there what's so ever. They need some retraining.

I will definitely come back to this nice hotel. I loved the atmosphere and attention to details. I would have rated 5 stars if I hadn’t have issues with the pillows which we found very uncomfortable. I texted to the online service and it took three representatives to finally get two pillows delivered.

Great room great view. The surroundings were great. The staff was great. The breakfast had a huge option if I say one negative the breakfast was kind of cold, but I had breakfast at 8:30 AM. Definitely plan on staying again.

Great location, close to museums, parks, restaurants and stores. Room was very comfortable and roomy. Would stay here again. The only negative comment is the prices for their Snack Pantry are way too high. Better to walk the .3 miles to Publix.

The bed was awful, slept in a hole and now my back is out! I’m not happy!

The location was the best part of this hotel! It was in an ideal spot near all of downtown and close to the bus that takes you to the beach! The staff was amazing and so helpful and responsive when needed! Would 100% book again! The pool was slightly disappointing but we were still able to enjoy a nice day out there it was just a little too shaded for us but maybe just that day!
