De Haas Living @ Die Laan 40

The description of the facility on the website was misleading. It stated that each bedroom has a private bathroom, but that was not the case—we had two bedrooms sharing one full bathroom and a half bath. Additionally, the front door was difficult to lock and unlock, and the bathroom doors were also challenging to operate.

Nescafe machine did not work, ventilation bad only aircon, fan could help. Noise next to kitchen

Large open plan room . Deck outside . Pool was good. Little bit of noise transferred between rooms. Generally in need of some TLC. But it was just a base so we weren't there for the decor .

Everything was clean and we were greeted and made to feel very welcome. We had everything we needed and it was close to the Coetzenberg and restaurants.

Staff were brilliant and the beds were so comfortable

Breakfast was good and well prepared. Extra milk and coffee sachets provided in my room as requested. Living next to the pool was a bonus! STAFF a gem since arrival to checkout! Nothing I can think of! In fact, NOTHING!

Great location. Spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and obliging. The pool was too close to the room. It felt like the other guests were in our living area! No adapters in the room.

Great and smooth location close to sports and center Furniture is kind of old and needs some proper makeover

Short walk. Into. Stellenbosch Quiet part of town Swimming. Pool Room was on ground floor with windows on two sides. Other guests had to walk past so no privacy, had to keep curtains closed.

Breakfast was nice and quickly served Room 5's ceiling is not insulated against sound; one can hear the footsteps on the timber floor quite loud. Same goes for filling a bathtub the lounge and reception needs a good upgrade for the kind of money one pays', it worse than a hostel dorm's entrance, The pics of the outside of the building and what one sees when arriving on street are two opposites

Loved the location and having a swimming pool. We had to close all blinds and curtains all the time as the room was very exposed.

Left too early, breakfast not served till 8am Air conditioner not working in one room with a heat of 34 unaccepatable, not told on booking in. Pool area located right outside our accommodation, we had bifold doors which we opened and people using the pool area were practically in our lounge area Absolutely no privacy all glass no blinds Lounge area minimalistic and uncomfortable Leaving early we had no knowledge of key deposit etc

Great central location. Walking distance to everything. Lovely staff. A bit noisy. Got woken up by the door bell at 07:30 one morning. Thin walls. Pool very small.

The location is convenient and the property is spacious. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms. Very odd and after seeing other reviews, guests have raised this before, but nothing has been done. The door handles are not practical and the cleanliness could be better. We notified the property of our arrival time, which was not early, and they were not prepared for us.
