Lovely, quaint accommodation. Staff were great. Food was good, especially breakfast. No lift, but I understand.
-
Very convenient for the nearby ferry port, being only 10 minutes away. No complaints

Absolutely nothing

comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, pleasant staff shower was rather small

The view from my room was amazing Radiator didn’t work. Told the staff 2xs and they either said it’s on a timer or tried to boost it from the kitchen. Either way I slept in my coat all night shaking. The bathroom was insanely tiny. Worse than an airplane. The unusable radiator had a handle that went halfway over the toilet. At 120lbs I struggled to sit without hitting my hip. The handle when I finally sat touched my chest so sitting up you have to get up sideways. I never seen anything like that. Especially not for $100 a night.

lovely room, great staff, limited parking, ready for some paint and updating

Location was easy to find, convenient for the ferry in Cairnryan. Breakfast was good, wait staff was excellent. View of the water. Room was compact. Bed was not the most comfortable.

Absolutely first class service, we were leaving early and the lassie that checked us in, (think she was the owner) made us a packed lunch cos we’d left too early for breakfast. Best packed lunch and well prepared even down to the Prawn Cocktail crisps ? nice touch. Would have no hesitation recommending the Craignelder Hotel and I’ll definitely be back. N/A

Breakfast and food in general was good. Car parking was very limited and awkward to park

Refurbished room was up to the standards shown on pictures. Breakfast/ dinner was exquisite could not fault it. Best cream egg cheesecake ever homemade. Would definately stay again because of the above, and all staff were really welcoming including the owner Hammy. Parking was a tight issue as only 4 spaces out front. Hence car now has a dent from another car. This led to parking up the rear of the property. Mentioned to staff member about this and they were shocked that this occurred. Shower in bedroom was very hot for a minute or 2 and then went freezing cold mentioned to staff when leaving. The shower gel left for use was not nice smelling perhaps a range of shower gels would be better. Hot water at sink had to be ran for a few minutes before any heat appeared.

Staff were lovely, food was excellent. Lovely big room hotel was spotless. The room which we were in was next to where the laundry cupboard was, there was lots of laundry bags lying about if you were on walking aids it would have been difficult for you to make your way through as there was just enough walking space. A fire hazard I would say!!!
