The approach to the property is very attractive with many vases of flowers. They are in the process of refreshing all the rooms, mine hadn't been done yet but it was acceptable. The water for the shower was hot which was very good. There ice machine broke but they brought mesome ice from another machine which was very thoughtful. I basically just slept there; I was in the area to visit 2 high school friends from 60+ years ago at the monastery at Spencer. The continental breakfast was basic compared to other hotels/motels that I've been at, but it was do able. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Again, the plantings around the front and side were a nice attraction to the motel. I would consider it on my next trip.

I opened the door and was pleased with how clean the room was. I travel often for work to many of the regular chain hotels, they could learn a few things about cleaning from your staff. Not modern but well appointed and well maintained. Although some of the decor might be considered a little out of date nothing seemed worn or old. We were greeted with kindness and they were very helpful in finding a restaurant.

The king size bed was the worst bed I ever (repeat worst ever) I ever slept on. You could feel the individual springs as you moved to find a comfortable spot.

Night manager considerately moved my room from back of the property to the front when he saw that I was a single traveler. Would stay again.

When we weren't happy with our room, management helped us move to another that did not smell like cigarette smoke. The king room we booked ended up smelling like cigarette smoke (even though it was non-smoking), so we asked to move rooms. The rooms are not very clean. Hairs everywhere, unidentifiable stains on the sheets. It just feels grimy. Very outdated and in dire need of a refresh.

Location half way between cape Cod and NYC We had two rooms and both smelt of stale smoke and urine, didn’t make for a comfortable stay
