Great location but hotel was very old, smelled like cigarette smoke and just didn’t feel clean.

Great location by the beach (although on the PCH). We had a second story room facing the ocean which helped cut a lot of the traffic noise (& gave a better view than first floor). Short walk to the very awesome Sealegs Bar (on the beach!). Bus stops right outside. Free filtered water, plus tea & coffee Bit noisy, dated carpet etc but didn’t really matter.

Trying to keep this place a secret! If too many people show up, they might raise their rates, I love it here, don't want any competition for availability! Too close to the beach, too many beautiful sunsets, to close to restaurants & bars, etc.

Best location. Right next to Sunset Beach. It is just very old and the upkeep is lacking. Good for just sleeping but the accommodations are in need of repair.

Cleanliness of the facility, the balcony and beach view was the most peaceful and enjoyable part of our stay.

We checked in Friday Aug 14, 2026 for 1 night. The gentleman who checked us in is an amazing asset to this property. We explain i was checking in under my name, Saturday night my companion would be using her Wyndham rewards (for a free night for being a loyal member). He said we needed to come back in the morning to switch names. Upon doing so Saturday morning, I was met with a temperamental employee who screamed at me. I was explaining the situation and in turns tells me we need to pack up our belongings and leave the room for housekeeping to enter to clean. Same room we were in, I explained we were not told this and he said it was policy and then as I was repeating back to him in disbelief of his unprofessionalism, he raised his voice screaming at me that I disrespected him and I laughed at him so I was banned from the property, not for violating a policy but for an accusation. I welcome Travelodge management, or corporate to review footage from Saturday Aug. 15 after 11. I also told him, maybe he misunderstood and i apologize for that, he said i disrespected him and was banned, i had to leave. So I went to room to pack, when I left he told my companion she could stay i could not. We travel over 2 hours together to get there, so that wasn't possible. She told him to cancel her room and when Wyndham rewards wants to know why she will explain. He changed his tune quickly, i could stay and asked if we would like service. I'm open to anyone contacting me regarding this & more.

Not the prettiest hotel but it has beachy character and the location is great. It’s a three minute walk to the beach and close to some good restaurants and coffee shops. It was quiet even though you’re right next to the road and the bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby.

The hotel needs a remodel about ten years ago. Everything is old and run down. Staffing is not helpful at all it gets defensive when asked about the condition of the hotel and limited to no parking for larger vehicles

Staff very nice and helpful l Room was big and comfortable beds Bathroom very tiny and fixtures were old and broken Nice place great location on the beach Just needs to updated and modernized I will come back and stay there again
