Surf City Inn - Near Seal Beach Pier

Great place to stay for a quiet beach getaway rooms super clean and remolded easy parking but stairs are a little rough no elevator

It served its purpose for our one-night stay.

Very close to the beach and close to a lot of food options. The exterior is old and looks pretty sketchy. We didn’t mind the stairs but it would be difficult or impossible for some folks if they didn’t know that there are only stairs to higher level rooms.

Nothing special here. Good for a quick stay and convenient.

Location was perfect for visiting friends in the area but two flights of stairs were daunting for us.

The room was nice. The manager was extremely rude. Not with the hassle to stay there.

Not much. It was in our price range and that’s about it. The staff was rude. Before we even got there I received a scam text message from a foreign phone number asking for personal identifiable information. When I called them, the person I spoke with was aware of the breach and seemed bothered that I called. Obviously, they are not secure with their reservation data. The location is technically close to the beach, but access is about half a mile away across a very, very busy highway. There’s no elevator. Our room was on the send floor, above the parking garage, and it only accessible by one narrow, dark stairwell. Very disappointed with the rating for this place

Property needs updating but our room has been renovated and is clean .

No elevator

The proximity to the beach and a nice taco shop on the corner As well as cafe breakfast options. I forgot to put a, no maid. Service needed sign on the door when we left the first day. But i'm sure glad they did come in while we were gone Because that first night, the room had already gotten pretty sandy from our day at the beach. It was very nice and welcoming to see that they had cleaned up all the sand, and replenished the towels. Normal things for a old budget boutique hotel. Parking lot is tight for extra large vehicles. Stairs only no elevators. And just basic small cosmetic things you would expect from a hotel that's been around to see it all.

Amazing staff and views. Although there’s no elevator the stairs are a bit of a workout. Well worth it.

Room was clean, beds were pretty comfy and pillows were extra comfy and super soft. Shower was very nice and cleaned. Great stay at a price you can’t beat. Parking under hotel and in front which was awesome considering we have a decent size truck. No breakfast, hard to find anything else to nit pick at this value
