Manager seems very irritated and hard to understand. The mirror in the bathroom stays foggy while taking a shower even with the door is left opened.

Loved the beach vibe with the ocean themed room. Everything was clean and fresh looking. A perfect location to stroll down to sunset beach to watch the sunset.

Nice little spot for the price.

Location was great near beaches. Comfortable beds slept great. Bring your own towels they only like to give you 1 set.

Great place to stay close to the beach, we used it for a quick in and out and we had no complaints, price was right!

I felt like this place was awesome. Room was super clean, modern and it was a nice place as a starting off point for the day and a good safe place e to come back at night for. As a person that likes to be busy all day being outside, this place felt like a good come and go to room for daily activities. Would def stay here again for my HB activities. Close to good coffee, good beach, good food.

Great clean hotel. There was a 1" gap from bottom on our door to the floor. Just felt like bugs or anything could have crawled through.

The beds were VERY comfortable! We both slept exceptionally well. It was quiet (except when our smoke alarm went off several times, needing a "reset") Location was convenient to freeways, but not to beach access. Room was a good size & liked having a window we could open & get a nice breeze. Liked the floors; good to not have carpet. Nice to have a microwave & fridge. Hated the extremely steep stairwell. I would NEVER have booked this if I had seen in the write-up that there was no elevator. The manager asked us at check-in if stairs was okay, they have NO elevator, & we said it was okay (what choice did we have at this point?!), but it was horrible. The room smelled like some nasty cologne when we arrived; very unpleasant smell. Opened the window & thankfully it aired out. We had to do this again a few times when we re-entered the room after being gone a few hours & it had that same nasty cologne smell. The room looked like it needs a refresh. The ceiling had some kind of repair that they had repainted with gloss paint instead of flat, as the rest of the ceiling was painted with flat paint, as ceilings usually are; it just made the room look even more in need of work. Bathroom needed some blue paint touchup; looked scraped off white. Towel holder not sturdy, pulling away from the wall. The room was not real clean. The bathroom mirror had a partial quick wipe mark & the floors felt dusty/sandy. Not a fan of the "rain" showerhead. Takes twice as long to rinse, which is a waste of water. No dresser with drawers. Two tiny drawers next to the fridge & one tiny drawer in the nightstand. We were awakened at about 4:30 am by our smoke alarm loudly blaring every minute! Finally my husband managed to reset it & silence it. Guests should not have to deal with that. Ridiculous. Comparing all the above issues here to the hotel down the road that has elevators & none of the above issues plus other better conditions & benefits for not much more per night, I wish I had booked there again. We will never book here again.

I love this family owned hotel. Safe and always so sweet.

Loved the little extras. I brought my own instant coffee, but loved the coffee maker!! The room was clean, didn't need the AC, nor the portable closet. Didn't expect free tele, nor microwave and fridge. Appreciate the charging port, side tables, hair dryer lotions, tub, makeup remover!!!!! Really enjoyed the down to earth manager, Ralph. I've already shared business cards and told others to go stay there. Love the fifteen minutes walk to the surf!!!! Loved the surf, too! The people are nice...from the airport, taxi drivers and beach!!!!!! Loved, loved it all. God bless that island community. No souvenir shops, like trader Joe's at the airport. In and out was a drive away. But...maybe next port.
