The neighborhood

The room was really nice, but had some issues. On arrival the AC unit wouldn't cool the room at all - the hotel staff did send someone to maintenance it right away the next morning but we felt like it never got as cold as other hotels we've stayed. The bathroom occasionally had a smell of cigarettes and we found a few mosquitos and bugs the first two days we stayed. However, the bed was comfortable and the staff was always really kind. Very limited vegan options at breakfast with no allergens labeled (staff often weren't sure what is in the food). You have to ask for toilet paper and water replenishment every day. AC not very as strong as we would have liked. Faint smell of cigarettes in the bathroom at times.

The staff at this hotel went WAY above and beyond on our requests, with a special commendation by Rince. Her help in our silly request was the best we've received in our last 15 months traveling abroad. The rooms are small but comfortable. We had a problem with the AC not working, which was addressed immediately. Breakfast was incredible with a commendation to the manager there, Yoga. The location was within a 10-minute walking distance of many sites and in a clean, safe neighborhood. A small but sufficient and clean gym was nice to use. All-in-all, an excellent stay. We already booked a return visit. Nothing

Located in a very boring city so nothing to do outside. Stuff was very friendly. Breakfast had enough western options. WIFI worked well only in common areas (not in the room). Not very new facilities and room conditions.

Friendly staff, clean, modern, great breakfast Location was good but required transportation/ taxi to cross most streets. Surabaya is not a walking city.
