Cambridge Lodge - Hostel

I loved the receptionist (sorry I don't know her name), a most lovely, personable, warm, beautiful person who was friendly and helpful. Thank you so much lovely lady! .

Great location and good amenities for a comfortable stay. Shared bathrooms were clean but could be better.

Nothing I had been charged double for a room but no one resolved the issue

Check in was very easy and the staff was incredible friendly. The property was in a nice neighborhood and easily accessible from the local train station. All the issues I had were my own anxieties of being in an unfamiliar place with some differences to the US.

I got a private and it was really nice The price was good And it easy to go to the center (7 min walk to go to the station ) But the cleaning on the share area was not the best

Not properly clean. Cockrroaches and bed bugs.. old mattresses and not clean at all. I had bad experience. So not recommend ?

Good location 1. I booked a female dorm and there was a guy in the room (I even ask for it specially on the check in and they said it was all female) 2. WiFi just terrible 3. I was in a secondary building with no fridge, nowhere to cook, you have to go outside turn the block and go to the other side of the building to go to the kitchen 4. No plugs by the beds 5. The bathroom lights drove me crazy! You turn them on from outside, supposedly it is set to 15 mins but it would turn off at around 7 mins, so you could not take a shit in peace because you will be in the dark so quick. 6. No hot water for showering, only lukewarm.

They let us check in a little early, which was nice The room was a little warm.

Value for money Needed more facilities like TV remote wasn't available, overall good though.

Cathy, staff responsible is a lovely person, really helpful. I think it’s one of the best hostel in Sydney As a lot of different hostel/ accommodation in Australia where people don’t pay attention, the cockroaches in the kitchen are a problem. But they clean the kitchen everyday

Lovely hostel with friendly staff. Nice neighborhood and close to the station.

It's old and I wouldn't bring anything that has to be super safe when left in the room (slightly odd room access system and I noticed main door not always locking. All I needed was a clean bed in a room to myself and access to a shower. Ticked the boxes.

Clean, comfortable, well run hostel thanks to the management and staff. 2 min walk to the train station. The small leafy park across the road was an added bonus

The train stations was only a 5 minute walk and easy to get to anywhere. Receptionist was lovely, very helpful and went the extra mole to help with any information you needed. If I was to go back and the lady was still there I would be more than happy. So helpful It was a pack packer place to stay. It needs a lid on the inside bin. And more clean cloths and tea towels to be able to clean kitchen up

Bathroom was clean, clean beds, close walk to train station The twin room had no aircon, window had no screen and was ground level, so all night somebody just could get in. The fan was loud, we slept next to the door where people had to use card to open it and it beeped every time someone went to shared bathroom during all night. The bathroom was next to our room and we could hear EVERYTHING. Shortly: we did not sleep for both nights there. The saved money were not worth it. Never again.

To be fair, the location is good A walking distance from the train station The place, bathrooms, kitchen, outside area …. All are full of cockroaches!!!!!! They’re just everywhere even inside!!! All sizes!!! I just couldn’t use the toilet or the shower comfortably or even sit outside without continuously checking myself, the chair, or my bag if they’re not on it!
