Everything, clean, convenient and good vibe

Location is the best for stop-over to sightseeing Sydney surrounded by good foods Why do guests need the key card to the restroom?

Location and clean bathroom The noise outside and the crazy big sound when I shut the door of bathroom every time.

location

They have large common areas including dining place, kitchen and movie place. Everyday various programs are offered for guests. Bathroom was clean. The vibe of dormitory room wasn’t really my type but it has a quite large space. The beds are not a modern style but still fine.

Everything needed was in the building or nearby Cost

The room door could not be locked from the inside, which was concerning from a security perspective. In addition, the room was consistently very cold. The only solution offered was an extra blanket, but that was not sufficient when cold air was continuously being blown into the room. The shower water pressure was also extremely low, apparently as part of a water-saving system. While I understand the intention behind this, it made showering quite inconvenient. Washing hair was especially difficult and took much longer than it normally would because there simply wasn’t enough water pressure.

Very good location. Nice hostal. Mostly quite. Kitchen was good but could use some more pans/pots and cups. Beds were comfortable. I would stay here again happily. Booking was messed up. I booked two beds in a 5 bed dorm but we were placed in different rooms. (Was told this was standard for how their system works). This was able to be fixed a night later only because there was an opening, otherwise we'd be out of luck. Elevators are aborently slow.

Noise, weak water

Easy check in and check out The room is very very noisy
-
Bedroom clean good size great location The storage room was a messy room not to welcoming and the stairs are uncomfortable since u are storing bags , the main lobby it’s not so chic looks abandoned
-
Toilet and showers can be a bit dirty sometimes. It’s not a social hostel if that’s what you are looking for.

No hot water pressure in the morning for a shower so that was dissapointing for a city hotel. Not a quiet location, a little noisy from the streets after 11-12pm. A little noisy in the hotel corridors after midnight too.

I don't recall asking for a quiet room, but I did ask for a lower bunk (which I got). No fresh air.

Great location, walking distance to central train station, paddy market and George street. Tram stop is just outside the hostel. Room was very spacious, bed curtain ,light with each bed. Facility has lift, free water fountain, big kitchen, Free bodywash, hair dryer on request and laundry facilities. Many sitting area in the kitchen, appliances and utensils available. Some hanging hooks will be very helpful in room, the windows are not soundproof enough. Lots of noise during late night and early morning when school kids are staying on the premises.

Location! Technology to check in and get electronic access was challenging
-
Love the room and bedroom Between the hours of 7:30pm & 10:15pm there was maintenance going on outside of my door, drilling, hammering, sawing.

Good price, clean and central

I love the location of YHA Sydney Central. It's so easy to get there by train from the airport, and with a train right out front, it's easy to explore around Sydney with the hostel as your home base. I have stayed with the YHA brand before and I find them to be a really reliable operation, it's not a party hostel vibe and the facilities are clean and well laid out. I look forward to staying with them again. No complaints
