This hotel makes many hotels in Taipei look like trash.

The 2 reception areas between 4th and 9th floors and the instruction posted at 1st floor gate make no sense at all. I arrived on Jan 21, 2026, slightly before 10 am. According to the instructions on the gate, it directed me to the 4th floor, however, there was no one available. I knocked for 5 minutes and ended up hauling my heavy baggage to Taichung train station for baggage storage (self-service locker) on my subsequent stay I noted that the 9th floor reception area opens from early morning. The instruction posted on the 1st floor is indeed very confusing! Location

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The host was kind and quick to respond, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The location was a little far from (13-14 mins walk) shops and restaurants, but still felt peaceful.

I like the location. And budget friendly have convenience store nearby.

Budget-friendly with a nice vintage feel. Friendly and helpful staff, and a spacious bathroom with a bidet. Bed sheets were not changed even after request. No room cleaning, only towel change and trash removal. Bathroom has no shower division, no in-room fridge.

Amazing people

Location was good, close to the train and some places of interest. I'm really surprised how high this place is rated. You can tell it isn't kept up with, the wallpaper is stained and peeling, floor trim was dirty and scratched, etc. The biggest thing is the elevator goes straight from street level, with open doors, to the rooms. You don't have to pass through reception or security which felt uncomfortable as a solo woman traveler. Overall not worth it.

Location, size room, staff. The bed was rockhard. I tested other beds but all were hard. They did give me extra blacket and pillows to make it more comfy, but it kinda messed up my back.

This place is in very convenient location with good price, room is small and clean, bedsheets and pillows are clean and comfortable, it’s a minimalist place perfect for a quick stay, best of all, staff are very friendly and helpful

Excellent location - just a few minutes walk to the train station, and many local buses stop right in front of the building. A very nice hotel, we had a nice room on the 9th floor with a great view from the window (I would ask for a room with a view when you make a reservation), clean, quiet. Very friendly staff. The reception room has a nice large sitting area with bags of nice snacks, coffee, and tea. If we ever come back to Taichung, we will come back to this hotel without any doubts.

Exceptional

The location was excellent, very close to the night market and Taichung Central Park. The bus to Sun Moon Lake and to the HSR was right outside the door. The facility had a common area with soda and crackers after 5pm. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable and we received water and fresh towels, although the room was not otherwise serviced. Lots of deferred maintenance. The wall under the window had many large areas where the paint peeled, the drywall underneath was exposed, and it flaked onto the floor. The airco quit after our first night. The room became very humid. Papers left in the room actually curled from the moisture.
