Its a beautiful old fashioned hotel with a stunning spacious foyer, large rooms and nicely furnished. It seems to be getting renovated by new owners. Rooms were quiet. Staff went above and beyond to assist me with my problems. There is a self service laundry facility that is conveniently located off the foyer. Nice breakfast. Super popular Japanese grill restaurant in the building. No usb ports in the rooms. Needed own charger. Front desk had some but tgey took forever to charge any devices. I think tgey should invest in some new ones.

Big room, big bed, grandeur of the hotel architecture (looks like hotels in Prague). Also the palm trees outside makes you feel like you're in south of France. Room 630 had the constant noise of running water (from 7th floor?). The hotel provided ear plugs so I presume they are aware of the issue. The slippers are rubbish better let people use real plastic slippers like you have to use in some toilets in Japan and Taiwan. The breakfast pictures on Booking.com mention croissants while they never ever had croissants in the existence of this hotel. Mentioned it to the staff and they said "only 4 star hotels have croissants ". Sorry to burst your bubble but hotels in Japan are less expensive and do have croissants! Also the butter, jam, peanut butter and chocopaste are rubbish (sadly seen it in all Taiwanese hotels, again look what Japanese hotel offer!). Very easy to elevate the experience by changing a few things at the breakfast. Also in this time of age it would be nice to have Netflix or other streaming possibilities on the tv.

On-site Free parking is easy and has sufficient spots. Very convinient. Room space is sufficient and good. Hotel lobby is large and looks nice. Good location. Facilities are old and out of date. Breakfast is plain with few selections. WiFi speed is very slow and on & off

Clean spacious room, with a large double bed. Good water pressure in the bath/shower, a convenient cold/hot water dispenser outside the room for unlimited drinking water. The staff is efficient and friendly. The mattress was a bit too soft to my liking. The breakfast had quite a few options, but not so much for people who want a western style breakfast. Also, not the hotel’s fault, but keep in mind that the area around is a little questionable (many garages around), especially during the night could be a little unpleasant to walk around.

Breakfast is good. Room is quiet. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom has moldy areas near the bathtub. The nonslip rug has black patches. The water temp is very difficult to control to make comfortable. The window shade is dirty. The towel rack is broken. The water boiler is dusty

Customer service team is very good and location of the hotel is superb Pillow sounds like plastic and does not have support, becomes flatter as you sleep and leaves you with a sore neck, the double bed is also quiet ancient and the whole bed moves if one person moves

Near the centre of the city, very close to the bus station. It takes ~9 mins to the Taichung railway station by taxi. The room is clean, and the breakfast is nice. There is no window in my room.
