Great stay and reasonably price! Very clean, ambiance is very nice with lots of plants, with a lot of sunlight— well designed. They even upgraded my room for free! Also i admire they use and promote eco friendly products. And their mattress and comforters are some of the softest ive used!! They didnt have free coffee or tea and breakfast service. They gave you a stub for a drink which can only be claimed beginning 3pm, i think this aspect is the one that needs to be improved :)

Free drinks and snacks (instant noodles) on the 2nd floor + free washer and dryer with laundry detergent. Overall aesthetic is unique and cute The shower curtain in our room was a bit short so water would go past the shower. Not a big deal if you remember to hang up the shower mat so it can dry properly.

We got to the hotel a couple hours earlier than the check in time because of the heavy rain. We asked if we could check in slightly earlier, but the answer was absolute no. While I rarely ask for an early check in at hotels, but my husband and I were soaked in the rain, and we know for sure our room was ready. So it was quite disappointing. Also, their beverage cards are a joke. Also, I wouldn’t get the bed ‘upstairs’ room ever. The ladder was poorly designed and it was a pain to get up and down. (And I have stayed somewhere similar, and it was a no problem there)

Small bathroom, no coffee or tea in the morning

Beautiful architecture, plants, and well ventilated. Also loved the laundry on the roof. Water dispenser. Bathroom windows were nice but ended up having curtain drawn entire time since it faced the central courtyard.

The hotel was easy to locate, and the staff were very welcoming. The daily drink voucher and complimentary oolong jelly were a nice touch. The hotel design was beautiful, and we had a comfortable stay. The rooftop seems like a wasted space, it would be nice to have some plants and furniture to sit and enjoy the view. Personally, for me I didn't like the bathroom access being outside but, on the flipside, my partner thought this was a great feature so it's really down to personal preference.

The toilet is separate from the main room and you have to walk through the exposed balcony to get to the toilet.

One of the front desk staff with long hair was very rude. She didn’t let me finish my request and kept repeating that it wasn’t time to check in. I was simply trying to explain that I was on the second day of my six-day stay and just needed to get my room key.

The lobby was beautiful! So green and modern. They even had contemporary magazines to read if I had to wait. The rooms were comfortable and well laid out. After a day or two, I didn’t mind having to go outside to enter the bathroom. My only disappointment was that both the robes were very small. I am not a large woman, but I couldn’t even close it, making it useless to me as a coverup. I suggest that order larger sizes so that everyone can wear them too.

Walls are thin, and therefore you may encounter a lot of noise depending on the type of guests next door.

Location is great. It is in a quiet neighborhood and close to cafe and restaurants. Room is very clean. The king bed is very comfortable. Only two pillows for two , and they are flat, not so comfortable. Bathroom is outside by balcony. It makes people feel insecure.

Did not have time to eat it. Shower!!!! Was discussing with others that lived there. The shower is too weak!! If they improve the shower, I will definitely go back!
-
The bed is too soft
-
Rooms are nice No coffee in the morning or coffee machine in the room.

It's in a quiet neighborhood not too close to any major attractions (most things were a 20-30min walk for me), but it was so close to one of my main points of interests that I didn't mind (Foam cat cafe and Capoo shop lol). Would definitely chose SI Hotel if I ever visit Taichung again! The sofa chair took a little time to get use to. If you sat on it wrong it felt like you were sliding forward. Beware that the bathroom door has a bit of a gap so I imagine in warmer months, that bugs or mosquitos may enter.

The area was clean and easy to walk around in Taichung. It’s around 10-15 mins walk to the mall too. My parents didn’t like the (duplex suite) bedroom being upstairs and the stairscase was 90 degree straight up to the bed. It’d be hard for elderly to climb up to the bed.

Very good

Overall it wasn’t the most confortable stay I have had. The light in the room is dim, many of the equipment are nice and designed and the interior of the hotel building is very beautiful. However, they aren’t exactly practical. For example, the charging is slow, the WiFi isn’t fast, the tv is very laggy and the pressure of the tap isn’t consistent. They provide a voucher for travellers to redeem a beverage between 15:00 til 22:00.

The room has a smell, but not sure if it is the humidity. The room is small but it is well designed.

Nothing of concern.
