Green Hotel - West District

My family of four adults had the pleasure of staying at Green Hotel from December 21-24, 2024, booking two rooms for our visit. I’m delighted to share that this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The hotel maintains impressive cleanliness standards throughout, from the public areas to our individual rooms. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The water pressure in the bathroom, sink, and shower was excellent, something travelers often overlook but truly appreciate. We were impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The complimentary items in our rooms were generous, and we loved the free snacks available in the lobby. The breakfast was delicious with good variety, though options were somewhat limited. When we purchased hotel products, we received nice freebies, which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff truly made our stay memorable. They were incredibly kind and accommodating, going out of their way to explain everything in English as clearly as possible. Their warmth and professionalism really stood out. They graciously stored our luggage when we arrived before check-in time, which was very helpful. The hotel’s location is ideal, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and parks, all within a clean and peaceful neighborhood. We felt completely safe leaving our valuables in the room during our outings, and everything remained secure. While Green Hotel is classified as a 3-star property, it delivers what feels like 5-star treatment with a homey, welcoming vibe. My family and I would absolutely choose Green Hotel again on our next visit to Taichung. It’s a gem that deserves its high ratings and delivers exceptional value and hospitality.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ There’s minor room for improvement, primarily in soundproofing between rooms and deeper cleaning of furniture corners, but these are small details in an otherwise excellent stay.

Location was great. I kept stubbing my toes on the baby steps into the bathroom. Also the room was consistently humid unless the AC was constantly pumping.

Staff was fine but didnt go out of their way or anything.The café always seemed to be closed, with no explanation. Also the bathroom in the room is a glass room with just a curtain to cover, makes it awkward to use the bathroom in such a small room.

From the moment I arrived, the staff at Green Hotel went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their kindness and warm hospitality truly set the tone for a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and style. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the serene atmosphere. One of the highlights of this hotel is its lush, natural surroundings. Greenery is thoughtfully incorporated throughout the property, creating a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city. You can even hear the birds singing. Despite being in Taichung’s vibrant West District, the hotel remains tranquil and restful, perfect for relaxation. Best of all, the price is incredibly fair for the outstanding quality making it an unbeatable value! I absolutely loved my stay and cannot wait to return. The Green Hotel is now my top choice in Taichung—highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, nature, and exceptional service without breaking the bank ??

The room was very comfortable with plenty of space for luggage. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the hotel's amenities. We were relieved the bathroom with its glass wall had a curtain to pull across for privacy. We made use of the hotel's bikes on the Greenway though would have wanted some more stable bikes for a longer cycle. The breakfast was disappointing. We stayed on a Monday night when the breakfast is bought in and delivered to your door but unfortunately it was not nice for either the meat eater or the vegetarian and we ended up getting something out instead.

everything good except that I was arranged at 201 which is facing exactly the lift, and at first I though it was a no window room where I totally cannot accept, and finally found that there is a small window in bath room. Fair experience. Others so far ok.

The location. It is quiet and with nearby cafes and restaurants

The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was also large and included a bathtub, which was nice, even though we did not use it. The glass window to the whole bathroom with the toilet right in front of it wasn't great, but thankfully there was a curtain to pull so you weren't always on full display when using the toilet. The building is like a strange kindergarten with children's books and infantilizing graphics everywhere. Also, I'm not sure how 'green' the hotel is when they provide lots of disposable amenities, even if they are 'made from recycled materials.' The 'green' seems more like a gimmick than an actual commitment.

Free bikes in decent condition, friendly and helpful staff, location (halfway in between theater area and station area, close to bus stop, close to parks and bike riding lanes), water pressure in shower very strong, free laundry, lots of amenities and cute decor. Breakfast was very good but would have liked more in quantity and variety, rooms a bit small, ac seems to be turned off at night so didn't sleep well because room got stuffy.

The hotel is nicely decorated, modern and the beds were comfortable . Wonderful that we could borrow extra pillows, and the staffs were helpful and polite. The location is convenient. Under the bed was super dusty . We dropped something under the bed and tried to retrieve it and saw it was not vacuum. The only thing that is not perfect for the hotel is the parking . The parking is at another location and it is quite troublesome when the weather is not good . And the room is a bit small for the 4 persons room

Nice location, affordable hotel for visiting Taichung. The city itself is more geared towards vehicle users, so I’d recommend taking the taxi (uber) for more distant locations or if you need to reach the HSR station with lots of luggage. The laundry room only had two washing machines and tumblers, which is a little low for a hotel of this size. One or two more of each would be better.

A great hotel with friendly staff and nicely furbished rooms. We could leave our luggage at the luggage room before check-in and after check-out. The hotel is conveniently located in the city and we had a nice time walking to the museums along the green paths through the city.
