Yuan Qi Hostel

Very clean and comfortable. I would recommend it if you don't mind having to climb stairs??

The hostel had an interesting interior and nice shared spaces - especially the cafe area behind the fish lake. The hygiene was not in a good place at all - the room smelt weird, there was garbage between the mattress and the wall as I arrived, shoe prints on the walls of the shower room (wtf?), super uncomfortable plastic surface under the bed sheet - it was loud and made the body sweat a lot. Also super thin mattresses and now proper blanket at all, only a thin polyester plaid. In general it didn’t look or felt very clean.

The staff was friendly, but a bit hard to understand. It was decently clean and there is room to store smaller bags with a lock. The mattress had the thickness of a newspaper so you can feel the plywood. Also they seem pretty loud so you can hear people turn. Tbh if it was more comfortable the rating would be higher. The stairs seem pretty short so getting luggage up and down is a bit harder.

Good location. The younger staff is not too nice. Browsing fb while serving me that I feel so impolite. Ventilation inside the capsule is quite bad.

This hostel is very well located, near the station and central sights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a nice little kitchen with free tea and coffee. It has a lovely atmosphere and is tastefully decorated with retro furniture. I really enjoyed my stay here. Nothing to dislike.

A really nice hostel interior. Great location. Staff are friendly. Very good price. Hot shower is nice and hot. Just outside the hostel to your right, if u walk 2 minutes there is a great breakfast takeaway where they do great pancakes. Anping tree house is worth visiting and takes about an hour to walk. The bed linen is too light, the room can get cold so a much warmer duvet is needed. Also as u enter the dorm room it's easy to trip over the step up to the floor, u can't see it as u go into the room. Mind the step!!!.

Comfy night's sleep. Great facilities. They have a drying space on the balcony which meant I could hand-wash some clothes and have them dry overnight, really convenient. Also managed to stay an additional night without any issues and for a reasonable price. Door was squeaky going into dorm room. Not a big problem and everything else was super.

Comfortable common areas good central location.

It has a very unique style. And the location is pretty close to a lot of interesting sights. Noisy neighbors mean noisy atmosphere. But they were kind enough to provide ear plugs for free. It was also a long climb up to our sleep quarters, up steep steps.

The location is perfect to explore the city. There is a decent common area to chill out. The rooms are noisy. You can hear the cars, scooters,... if you are sensitive to noise, I would choose another hostel.

Great location, very nicely decorated (cute/homey vibe), and cosy common areas Mattress was ROCK. SOLID. Equivalent of sleeping on plywood. Tried other empty beds in my dorm in the middle of the night (cuz couldn’t sleep) to find they were all plywood except for one that had a mushy plastic sheet on top that crinkled every time you moved, and was about 9cm too short for me (and I’m only 5’8” so…). AC not strong enough to penetrate sleep cubbies so quite warm & got destroyed by mosquitos. That said - not the place if you value quality sleep!

The rooms are clean and the ambiance nice. It’s also located very central. the staff was not very friendly and the beds were super hard.

Super friendly staff. Very clean. Great location. Renovations are a bit old and it could benefit a little refresh. Bunk beds are made with cheap basic wood boards, not very intimate.

The staff were friendly and facilities clean. They provided free drinking water as well. Location was good too. There were mosquitoes in the dorm room and the blanket provided wasn’t big enough to cover my legs and torso which made it difficult to sleep. I was bitten by mosquitoes every night.

Good location, walking distance to some areas of interest and with several bus stops nearby. Staff were friendly. Use of communal fridge. Very hot in the building. They only have AC in the dorm rooms and in the lobby/shared lounge, however often it was off, and even in the room it was not strong enough. The bathrooms were boiling and very uncomfortable to be in. Also they are mixed , no separate area for male and female. The mattress was just a piece of thin foam and very uncomfortable to sleep on, had back pain every morning. Cleaning needs improving, mould in the showers and toilets had a constant bad smell. One morning there were shards of glass on the floor of the communal area, staff were oblivious when I pointed it out, and the next day I still found pieces, which means they did not clean properly.

Very nice and beautiful property place to stay. Great value for money too. Nice chill area and I think there is even a kitchen. Very central and close to the station Nothing
