The wood bath with bath salt was amazing

It’s close to the station. It’s stylish, small and comfortable. The old town was just a few minutes walk away. There could be more amenities for skincare in the room.

This was my second stay in a year at this hotel. Laundry is avail on 3 floors (300Yen/wash; 100Yen/30 min dryer). Comfortable room with a sofa area. Nice location with easy walk to train/bus station (1 block); also easy walk to the other sights in town.

Extremely accommodating staff and a clean, effective facility. Breakfast process was kind of confusing, but I arrived last minute..

Small boutique western style hotel. Comfortable and convenient to the bus station and old town. Excellent coffee shop attached to the hotel with delicious breakfast. We stayed one night and then left for a night at an onsen in the Alps, before coming back. Hotel was able to store our luggage for a nominal fee (500 yen). Difficult to find the right light switches sometimes, but this is not uncommon in hotels.

Sara at reception was wonderful. She goes above and beyond to help you and she does it all with a smile. If you do stay here do not book the deluxe room. The toilet area is literally 1 foot from the bed while the rest of the bathroom is on the other side of the couch/living room area. So unless you’re good with a toilet right next to your bed avoid this room. Also, you can’t see the TV from the bed, which isn’t a huge deal, but just something to be aware of in this room. But the couch in the tv area is not comfortable at all.

It was a bit of an adventure figuring out how to use the washing machine. The control panel was in Japanese, and the English instructions didn’t really match the labels on the machine. Google Translate added to the confusion more than it helped (as it sometimes does with Japanese), but after some trial and error, we eventually managed to get our clothes washed.

The cafe downstairs was excellent with varied options. We were not told that you needed a passcode to enter the hotel after 8:00pm. We tried calling the number on the code box but no one answered our calls. We had to get help from another hotel who got in touch with hotel staff. They were very apologetic the next morning and gave us coupons for drinks. I think the front staff when we checked in was so busy with all of us checking in. Honest mistake.

The room was big, with comfortable beds and self service laundry was easy. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location was very close to the bus depot, but still close to old town. Nothing.

Location close to station. The rooms are very nice, particularly the shower but the space is a little tight. The breakfast is delicious. Expensive but it was on the days of the festival. Price

Great location, cozy, clean and comfortable! It was very quiet at night. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple and great. We really enjoyed our stay in Takayama and this hotel was really convenient. It was a little hard to find at night. Look for the Eph on the curtain next to the cafe downstairs.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the train station and a short walk into the main town. Room was spacious and comfy and had a killer view of the Alps. In room large bath was a nice touch. The 5pm siren could have been forewarned. Sounded like it was right outside. :D

We loved the location and the room is nice and spacious. great architecture. Breakfast next door is amazing!!! The staff provided some absolutely great service and helped us forward our luggage. We stayed on floor 5 which was beneath the penthouse. Above us were children playing all night long running around. It was hard to sleep. We made a request to the front desk to ask them to be quiet at night but it didnt matter. Our 2 nights were sleepless.

Big room None

Short walking distance from the JR Kanazawa Train Station. Location was still quiet despite the room facing the road outside. Breakfast was in the small western cafe located in the same building. The coffee and the simple western breakfast were good quality. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are softer than expected. The room was bigger than I expected and had enough space to open medium sized suitcases. The bathtub in the bathroom and the provided bath salts were welcoming. There is a slight lack of wardrobe space in the room. Cooking smells from adjacent premises can come into the room at times.

The breakfast menu was limited and because the breakfast place sold coffee and breakfast items to passersby, we had to reserve a table the previous day for breakfast at a specific time. We would have preferred to get up and go down to breakfast whenever we wanted.

Conveniently located and a very nice place to stay.
