2 weeks in Japan, and it is so lovely to meet a clerk with a great smile who does her best to make you comfortable ! I enjoyed particularly the fact that I dropped my suitcase before my check-in but when I was back, they had been brought into my room ! There is a small onsen on the first floor !

A lovely cheap hotel in Takayama which has comfortable and clean rooms. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. There is a small gender separated onsen which is nice and our only onsen experience. The room was clean and well maintained which is all you need for a short stay in Takayama.

Reception desk staff were polite and helpful. Cleaning staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Restaurant service for non-Japanese patrons was poor. Waited 50 minutes for noodle dish while other customers were served, ate and departed. Waitress spent more time at bar with patrons than serving food and clearing tables.

English Speaking Staff who went beyond the call of duty to make restaurant reservations for us! It was dark around the hotel at night.
